Located in Bowness-on-Windermere in the Cumbria region, The White House is a 5-star property featuring free WiFi. Beautiful property. Easy to find. Close to shops and restaurants. Clean . A lot of effort has gone into this property and it shows. We stayed in room 12. Absolutely beautiful. We are staying here again this weekend.

Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. This was one of our favorite stops on our recent trip. We all agreed, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, and the rest of the amenities were great. Elliott was a great host - giving us some advice about our next stop. Breakfast was delicious. With a pub within walking distance we couldn't ask for a better location.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Lovely hotel with large room, comfortable bed and nicely-appointed, spacious bathroom. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff, as well as free parking.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Lovely warm welcome, beautiful room, spotlessly clean. The only place we have stayed which was better in reality than the advertising photos. Attention to detail was excellent, down to the herbal tea selection in the room.

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. Excellent accommodation, smart, clean and great hosts/staff. Very central and accessible from the train station too, although it has its own private parking - a real plus. Very good breakfast, with probably the best bacon rolls (amongst many other options) that we've ever had! We will return for sure. Fully recommended.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Location excellent, beautiful house, comfortable bed and super pillows. Amazing quality breakfast. Great friendly, highly efficient staff. Would definitely return. Many thanks to the staff and owner.

Craig Walk Suite is set in Bowness-on-Windermere, 38 km from Derwentwater, 43 km from Askham Hall, as well as 50 km from Trough of Bowland. Large room with kitchen. Loved having cold water in the fridge as well as welcome cookies, coffee and teas.

The Old Rectory features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Coniston, 18 km from Lake Windermere. Michael and Ann where the perfect hosts . Nothing was too much trouble and would meet your every need. Anne even had a birthday cake for my wife's birthday! Michael even let me try his favourite gin at breakfast! A lovely quiet calm to the house as a whole with a large bright dining room used for breakfast with wonderful view.

Set in Dearham, 26 km from Buttermere, The Old Mill Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. We loved everything about The Old Mill Inn! The bedrooms were so clean, spacious, cosy, and modern. The beds were so unbelievably comfortable! The staff were so welcoming, and couldn't do enough to make you comfortable. The food was exceptional! Would highly recommend it to anyone, we'll definitely be going back!

Set in Keswick and only 5.8 km from Derwentwater, Dalegarth Guesthouse Portinscale offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Top B&B managed by the owners, great location, ample parking, excelent rooms, nice bar and delicious breakfast.
