What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

Quiet place with great confort in a fully renovated house. Small details in the decoration made it unique and unforgettable, the host was very helpful and her two cats really made the end of my trip worthwhile.

Wow. Absolutely wow. We can't even imagine the great experience we had at this place. We arrive after several days at the Douro valley, and by far - this place was the best we chose and stayed in. From the great hospitality of the host, to the facilities (Jacuzzi, Balcony, Breakfast and what not). Do yourself a favour and go there, believe us.

A beautiful garden with relaxing pool!!The room was quiet and perfect, with a lovely huge bathroom. The host Margarita was wonderful, we had a warm greeting, a small tour and some advice on where to go in town for dinner. Really a lovely spot for anyone touring the Douro Valley and its vineyards.

From arriving to departure the place was perfect. On arrival it's like arriving at your own stately home. We were met by the owner who could not do enough for us. She gave us maps of the area and advice. The accommodation was perfect for us as the owner had provided us with a cottage with a garden as we travel with a large dog. Everything was perfect. The photos do not do the property justice. We will definitely return

We loved everything about this hotel. Dont judge a book by its cover...the outside and area do not do it justice. Inside, the hotel has paid attention to detail, everything you need in the rooms for a comfortable stay. Immaculately clean The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was exceptionally good with, local.produce and seasonal fresh fruits. It is within walking distance of Vila Real.

This is a very comfortable big room in the town centre of Vila Real, near restaurants, the river, and stores. Perfect if you want a quiet space as well. The room is big, and the mattress is very good. Because the rooms are on the top floor it's very quiet during the evening, you don't hear any noise from the streets.
