Provided you don't mind stairs, this represents quiet luxury at a budget price. We had a level four room of generous proportion with a lovely and expansive view over old Porto towards the river. Super clean, modern, great bed, scalding hot water and a pleasant host. We noticed a lower level room provided for self catering. The location was great for us....500m uphill from Sao Bento station, an inexpensive cafe bar on the corner with plenty of other small restaurants nearby. An easy meander down to the river.

The property is located in the pedestrian strewn full of restaurant a and shops, close to the metro and places of interests. The environment is home like- you can help yourself with cake, tea or freshly brewed coffee at any time. Staff is amazing. Especially Luisa who explained all the places worth going, helped solve all the issues and showed us non-tourists beaches.

The staff was wonderful and helpful with questions I had on whatsapp before arriving. The room was big and comfortable. We left too early for breakfast and they offered us a take away bag which we really appreciated!

A very beautiful hotel, such a relaxing environment, the gardens are lovely! Never seen such a big bed 😃 Easy to find, close to the metro! Would stay again and again!
