Just 200 metres from Corniche Promenade and City Center Shopping Mall, this design hotel offers stylish rooms with satellite TV. It features an outdoor pool, spa centre and on-site restaurants. The W is a luxurious hotel in a great location - a few minutes walk from a large shopping mall and the corniche and a short taxi ride to most other attractions. The service is impeccable and I was made to feel very welcome on arrival. In particular, Tunc on reception went above and beyond to arrange a late checkout for me which made such a difference on my last day. I was also provided with a lovely welcome drink on arrival. I ate in La Spiga restaurant where the food, wine and service (provided by Sahbi) was fantastic. Sahbi recommended a dish for me (pasta with clams) as I was undecided, and it was absolutely delicious. The second night I ordered room service. The food was very good and Munshi provided friendly service. The lap pool is pleasant and I was the only one using it on the Saturday afternoon. I was on the 9th floor and had great views. I'll definitely stay in the W should I stop over in Doha again.
