This hotel had not been open very long at the time of my stay, but I made the booking based on photos, location, price, and the knowledge that it was newly opened. I don't know the prior use for the space, but they have turned the old structure into a nice fourteen-room boutique hotel. It's tucked away in a small street near the Douro in a great location (though you are by the river, so many things are uphill from there). Check-in was a breeze and the staff were friendly and informative. Other interactions with the staff during our stay were all positive, though we didn't really have any special needs. The decor, fixtures, rooms, and such were all very well done - it is clear it was new, but it also appeared to be built well. The breakfast was more than expected in terms of variety, and the quality was also good. Noise from the street was a bit of concern upon realizing our room faced the street and had balconies, but we heard very little sound from outside. I was very happy with this hotel and wish them great success.

Perfect location, pristine facilities, staff that went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. The breakfast was delicious, and the little treats they left added a special touch.

It was the best hotel that I stayed in during my two-weeks holiday in Portugal. As other reviewers have mentioned, the beds are super comfortable. The location is right in the centre of Porto, within walkable distance to the main attractions. Some of Porto's best restaurants are around this hotel as well. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with berries, smoothies, tasty pastries and cakes. Everything was fresh and tasty. Special thanks to staff members for being friendly and nice.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and quiet too as we were at the back of the hotel. Great location . Situé dans le quartier de Ribeira à Porto, l’Hotel Carris Porto Ribeira 4 étoiles occupe un bâtiment historique rénové donnant sur le fleuve Douro. Great location near river. Walking distance to a lot in the area including walking the bridge to Guia. Staff was friendly and recommended best place to park when asked. I would recommend staying here.

The staff - especially Joao & Alex went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Thus was our first time in Porto & we couldn't have found a better hotel.
