This hotel had not been open very long at the time of my stay, but I made the booking based on photos, location, price, and the knowledge that it was newly opened. I don't know the prior use for the space, but they have turned the old structure into a nice fourteen-room boutique hotel. It's tucked away in a small street near the Douro in a great location (though you are by the river, so many things are uphill from there). Check-in was a breeze and the staff were friendly and informative. Other interactions with the staff during our stay were all positive, though we didn't really have any special needs. The decor, fixtures, rooms, and such were all very well done - it is clear it was new, but it also appeared to be built well. The breakfast was more than expected in terms of variety, and the quality was also good. Noise from the street was a bit of concern upon realizing our room faced the street and had balconies, but we heard very little sound from outside. I was very happy with this hotel and wish them great success.

It was the best hotel that I stayed in during my two-weeks holiday in Portugal. As other reviewers have mentioned, the beds are super comfortable. The location is right in the centre of Porto, within walkable distance to the main attractions. Some of Porto's best restaurants are around this hotel as well. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with berries, smoothies, tasty pastries and cakes. Everything was fresh and tasty. Special thanks to staff members for being friendly and nice.
