Housed in a 2-storey villa, Hotel Fitzroy curated by Fable is a luxury boutique hotel offering a 24-hour front desk, 24-hour room service and free WiFi. Fantastic staff. Very hospitable and accommodating, especially given we had kids. They provided a cot for our baby and also went out of their way to provide us with late check out as our flight was at night.

The Great Ponsonby Arthotel is a charming 1890's heritage villa just 2 minutes stroll away from Ponsonby's vibrant centre. Everything was easy and comfortable. Everyone who worked there seemed happy. Our room had french doors going out to a small veranda where we could relax when we came in. The breakfasts were great.
