The view was great, the beds were comfy, they gave us tickets to go to the main onsen which was amazing and they even rented us some snow shoes to go walking around the ski resort. Nice place to stay I recommend and I would come again.

Mozumo ligger i et roligt område i Gifu-regionen, ca. 52 minutters kørsel fra JR Takayama Station, og tilbyder varme kilder samt værelser med moderne japansk interiør. A stay with private jacuzzi in the calm peaceful forest with excellent service and food? This is complete paradise. Also the hotel itself doesnt take many guests so hardly get to bump into any other guests- feels like I own the whole place for myself almost.

Hidaji ligger mellem uberørt natur i det rolige nordlige Alps-område og tilbyder rummelig indkvartering i japansk stil med traditionel arkitektur. This Ryokan has a “luxury” and modern feel to it. It could easily be branded as Aman or a Rosewood Hotel since the upkeep and products / amenities used are of very high quality. The room was incredible and very tastefully designed; a mix between dark and light wood. Beds were super comfy, amazing Yukatas to wear around the hotel. Small private onsen and 2 semi private onsen with great Mountain View. Dinner and breakfast were incredible and only high quality and seasonal ingredients were used.

Pension Kinoshita ligger i Takayama, 40 km fra friluftsmuseet Hida Minzoku Mura. Der tilbydes gratis WiFi overalt på ejendommen. Der er gratis privat parkering på stedet. The owners are superb. We can feel their devotes and well-welcomed minds. Language is not a problem. The place is very nice and cozy. Both dinner and breakfast are very good.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoy authentic Japanese style meals and hot spring. The family run this hotel with a lot of thoughtful care and hospitality. The traditional Japanese meals were authentic and served with fresh Hilda beef and local vegetables. As a hot spring lover, the hot spring were beyond expectation. There are private room and shared room for hot spring, and they all have great view of quiet forest. (It was snowy the day I came, and the experience of bathing hot spring in a snowy forest was superb.) The owners are very friendly and kind!

Minshuku Takizawa ligger 70 minutters kørsel fra Takayama by. Der er gratis privat parkering på stedet. This was an amazing stay. The owner (taki zawa) is super nice and helpful. The dinner was delicious (truly) and plentiful! Breakfast as well. The room is comfortable and spacious. The onsen are superb - I will never forget being totally relaxed inside the pool looking through the opened window at the snow falling outside. Everything was amazing. I totally recommend.

One stop shop to get an introduction to top class Hida cuisine. From the A5 wagyu to the soba, everything was perfectly served. The room and onsen gave a very traditional Japanese feel and we enjoyed it very very much.

Yamazatonoiori Soene ligger i et smukt landskab i Okuhida Onsengo-området med varme kilder og tilbyder smukke værelser i japansk stil med udsigt over floden eller haven. Serene, authentic, and classy, this place has it all. It is criminally good value for the money. The keiseki dinner and breakfast were out of this world, probably the best meals I’ve ever had in my two trips to Japan (I’m fussy). A particular shout out to a staff member called Bhesh, a lovely Nepalese man who was extremely kind and helpful, I hope the hotel is rewarding him well for his excellent work.
