Hotel was 1 block away from subway exit. Very convenient. Room no 205 was a good size one. I was expecting small room based on what I read about Japan. It had a sizable table with chair. One double bed and one single bed. Separate toilet, bath room, kitchenette with cooking facilities etc. It it much better than the place I stayed in Osaka, though Osaka place was expensive to this. There were few shops around walking distance for lunch and dinner. Lawson shop was next to subway exit. I would recommend this to anyone.

Featuring free WiFi, Kyoto Yamashina Hotel Sanraku is set in Kyoto. The property is around 2.9 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 3.2 km from Eikan-do Zenrin-ji and 4.2 km from Heian Shrine. I love thé on s’en used it 3 times , somehow it helped to relax my soar feet’s after long walks all over the city’s landmarks. bed was very comfy. great value . will return if in Kyoto great that it only 3 min walk from JR line . therefore JR pass could be used. I asked for mountain view. and I got it, was surprised that the mountains were so close . even though the rail station is nearby I did not hear the noise.

I enjoyed experiencing a more traditional Japanese style room while I was staying in Kyoto. The location was really nice being close to nature and the nearby city! It's on top of a big hill, so your legs will get a good workout each time you go up and down. It's pretty convenient being close to the main things you can think of, such as transportation, convenience stores, restaurants, and nature trails. I would stay here again!

The owner was very friendly and helpful, and even guided us to the guest house by a phone call.
