El Locanda Villa Moderna es un establecimiento de gestión familiar situado en la localidad costera de Nervi, a 15 minutos en coche del centro de Génova. The hosts were very nice, friendly and helpful. The accommodation was in a quiet cul-de-sac, the drive was gated. We could park for free in a nearby garage. Breakfast was excellent, the hostess baked her own bread and sweets, there were cold cuts, cheese, fruit. Our host advised us a perfect ice cream shop and a very good restaurant in the old port.

Breakfast was included, and it was a fantastic buffet. I was visiting relatives in Nervi, and it was a short, easy walk to their apartment. It was also a short, easy walk to downtown, including to the train station. Perfetto!

Beautiful view from the terrace. For future visitors (lessons learned): 1. Bear in mind that Via Aurelia (the one you are interested in) is a narrow one-way street. The locals might tell you it's the one also named Via Donato Somma, which is much wider and longer and corresponds to the ancient Roman Via Aurelia. 2. You will need to get used to the bus itinerary. It makes two loops starting from the end of the line. The second one is the one that takes you to the address.
