Featuring a garden, Hotel Uhland is located in Munich in the Bavaria region, 1.1 km from Central Station Munich and 1.5 km from Karlsplatz (Stachus). The hotel is located on a quiet side street, near the major points of transportation (city bus and relatively close to the metro station). For a good walker, it's within the walking distance to the main train station as well as the old city. The staff is friendly and helpful. A small "coffee room" (with an expresso machine) is an unexpected and pleasant surprise.

Able to store bags after check-out, this hotel also has a bit earlier check-in than usual (2PM, typically 3PM is the industry standard) which is nice. There was to my surprise an entire 5-seat couch in my room, nice to just chill with the laptop for a bit.

The room is really tiny, ideal for 1 person, but also good enough for 2 people. The room is so functional, there are empty slot to store your luggage when not in use under the sofa and also the bed (which we only discovered when we were leaving!) If you leave your luggage open you will have to walk over it. We were both small sized so it wasn't that bad for us to move around the room, but I cannot imagine those who are bigger in size because the room is truly quite small. The room in generally is very clean, great shower. The staff who checked us in were very friendly. There are also some bread available at the reception in the morning. Location wise it is also great, if you walked from Munich Hbf, it's only 500m, and it is located directly in front of Karlsplatz tram line and also Karlsplatz Metro line! But we just walked to Marienplatz through a shopping street, which is just 1km away.

Conveniently located in the heart of the city, this design hotel is directly located next to Munich Central Train Station. The breakfast selections were superb, with a wide range of choices. The bathroom was lovely, especially the shower that had piping hot water 24/7.
