You are close to nature at this hotel. Loved being away from the city yet driving distance to the city. I felt very relaxed and the staff are very helpful. Boutique Hotel Palmenbad is set just a 5-minute walk from the UNESCO hermitage site Berpark as well as Schloss Wilhelmshöhe. The hotel is tucked away in a peaceful corner of Kassel, with lots of windows that can allow fresh air to flow in. The breakfast was two full rows of food and I was surprised when even more selections were offered up for free! The hotel is a fun little 15-minute walk downhill to the train station but then there are sometimes a few taxi parked out front (taxi fare to the station from the hotel was just seven euro in the year 2022).

This hotel lies just a 10-minute car journey from Kassel’s centre, only a 20-minute walk from Schloss Wilhelmshöhe castle and its extensive parkland, home to the impressive Hercules monument. Breakfast is excellent, the best we got in Germany. The restaurant is not as good as it used to be.

This hotel in Kassel offers modern accommodation and Wi-Fi internet. It is located next to the Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe train station and a 15-minute walk from the Kurhessen-Therme spa. We especially liked opening our window to see over the train station to the Hercules fountain on the mountain in the distance. The room was small but well appointed. Very clean, great staff. Bed was comfortable . Great location, just roll your suitcases to the side of the railroad station and you are there. You get a free pass for all of the trams and buses which are located in front of the train station.
