Location is remote, but easy to access with a car- we liked the area a lot, as one could have an evening stroll through the fields. The owners are are very kind and had a lot of toys for our kid. Breakfast and dinner was offered, food was great and a lot! The room was nice and clean.

Vasiliki and his lovely mother were the best hosts we could ask for!
They helped us immediately every question or things we needed, including cooking's product like olive oil (which is definitely not obvious!)
The location was amazing :)

I had a wonderful experience at guest house Luna. The apartment is lovely and so is everybody working there! It is a bit tricky to find on your own, so I would recommend going to the Luna Store just outside the train station. They helped me out a lot with activities around Virpazar and gave me plenty of tips for other destinations in Montenegro too. The house was very clean when I arrived, the beds very comfortable and the wifi worked well all the time.

This place is outstanding. The building, the room, the grounds, the surroundings, the owner Marko: it couldn't have been better. Marko is always willing to help. When I texted him that I didn't know our time of arrival because our car broke down on the way to Prevalis, he instantly offered to come by to help us. During our stay, he gave some great tips for hikes and the tour we did with him on the lake was also a highlight. The wine is also very tasty. And before I forget: the water in the shower has the perfect temperature ;) Thanks Marko, we created some great memories thanks to you!

The most favourite spot was the acommodation itself, his hospitality and the lake itself. I ate in a reastaurant, in the house and on the beech.
Everywhere was perfect and delicious.
It is easy to get to Virpazar, both from Sutomore and Podgorica.
There is nothing to avoid, everything was great.

I thought the lake was over-rated.
I thought the lake was over-rated.
We enjoyed a morning kayaking (about 9km) and saw some water birds but I have had much better kayaking experiences elsewhere in pristine environments.
In places the water was smelly, I certainly wouldn't swim in it. There was also rubbish floating in various places. Nice from a distance - climb the short track to the monastary and take in a more distant view.
The township didn't seem particularly special - a base for boat and kayak trips wand a few restaurants.

An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking.
An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking. A great place to relax for a few days. Lovely lanes and villages to walk looking for tortoises, snakes and lizards. A couple of nice, medium walks off the lanes.
The people are very friendly and can speak pretty good English and like a bit of banter.
Also has some nice relaxed bars and restaurants, no hard sell.

Virpazar is a very small village - a supermarket, a restaurant by the river and one more close to supermarket. The reason to go there is to sail on the lake - must be gordious in the summer - we were there in beginning of april - a bit chilly and not a lot of birds. But we took a boat trip and visited an old church and said hello to the munks from a nearby convent.

The main attraction is lake skadar, and it’s even more beautiful than pictures I’ve seen on the internet. I’ve never seen so much natural beauty before! You have to book a boat tour in order to truly experience the lake in all its glory.

Very small town, bridge is the main attraction and you constantly get hustled into boat trips round the lake. One of the local restaurants wouldn't let us use the toiled under the pretence of no water, but it is OK for them to use it and serve the food. We have been told they do it often so their toilets wouldn't get dirty. Anyway we left for another restaurant Rostiljada outside of the Virpazar and we were not disappointed.
We loved everything about this place! This was our favorite place we stayed in our entire time in Montenegro. The view was amazing from our room! They brought us coffee and juice upon our arrival. They were very accommodating when we arrived early. We did the boat tour while waiting for our room to be ready. The room was extremely clean. I'd say it was cleaner than some 5 star hotels I've stayed at in the US. The owners of the facility are very welcoming, and I felt right at home. Walking distance from lots of restaurants.
The hosts were exceptionally kind and wellcoming. At our arrival they invited us to have a drink of their homemade grappa with them and left some homemade wine and grappa for us to try in the fridge. In the morning their son took us on 2 hr trip on the lake where we saw both kormorans and pelikans. Upon our return to Jocker we had amazing breakfast with coffee and dessert. Never during our travels have we experienced such hospitality! Absolutely recommend this place if you ever wish to visit the Skadar Lake.
We loved our stay with Vesna! We felt so welcome, when we arrived she greeted us with homemade walnut wine and we chatted away with the help of google. The house is in a beautiful valley about a 15 minute drive from Virpazar - we enjoyed going for walks, sitting on the balcony taking in the quiet, and meeting the pets. Vesna is an absolutely excellent cook, easily some of the best food we ate in Montenegro and lots of the ingredients grown or made by her! Thank you for a special time.
Milo was a fantastic host and really made our stay at Skadar Lake special. The villas were small and comfy, the food offered for breakfast and dinner was prepared on site, the place was very tidy... A great place to relax - and quite a contrast to the pushy sales stalls just off the old bridge at Virpazar.
Milos suggestions for trips and activities around the premise were right on target: We absolutely recommmend taking the private boat tour on the Lake with Marina in the morning <3
The lodge was in an excellent location for a peaceful break away for our first time in Momtenegro. It's just a short walking distance from the town Virpazar where we enjoyed kayaking and a boat tour of the lake. We hired a car to visit some of the seaside towns, and other areas that are just a short drive away. We we're so greatful to be able to return back to this peacful location on an evening. The lodge had everything we needed for our stay and we loved the cosy feel inside.
I recommend this acommodation either for a couple or the whole family. The mark is perfect 10. The host Ilija Radoman was excellent, friendly, organized a boat ride and the dinner (fish and home made red wine). There is a free car park in front of the facilities. The house is very well located, about 600m from the centre. He even announced us and recommended the restaurant in Virpazar. I can say all the best about the host, hospitality and the house. The property is located just in front of the train station! So I recommend getting to Virpazar by train, instead of bus. It is located in a beautiful spot, and a 10min walk from the town. Everything was super clean and the host was the best and really attentive. She is also an amazing cook, so I recommend having dinner or breakfast cooked by her! Everything was great, it was a super nice experience!
Apartment was comfortable and well presented. Everything was clean to a good standard. Host greeted us on arrival and provided info on how to walk into Virpazar town avoiding walking on the main road. We were also lucky enough to get offered a glass of fresh juice which was delicious. Host was also able to offer airport transfer to Podgorica at an additional cost which was convenient for us.
The owner was the nicest owner we have ever met in any trip that we had.
He was really nice, welcoming and showed us a lot of hospitality.
The room was incredible and very comfortable.
Location was amazing, quiet and very beautiful. Close to the lake and the town Virpazar.
Highly highly recommended
Perfectly located for exploring Virpazar and Lake Skadar. The host was very helpful and supported us in booking excursions and activities. The room was spacious and modern and included all of the facilities/equipment you would need (including a balcony!). Great stay, great accommodation, great host.
Super nice and very new apartment over the hills of Virpazar. The apartment is a lovely place to find some quiet after busy travel days. It is equipped to high standards and is very clean. The communication with the owner was very fast and easy. We felt very welcomed from the minute we got there!
Located near Virpazar, 2 minutes drive from it. Perfect place for relaxing, enjoying nature with beautiful scenery and nice little pool. Host were great. Ask the host Milos for all tricks and tips. If you want beaches and sea, sea is 30 minutes away. You also have some beaches on the lake.
Absolutely faboulous place and host(!) in the middle of nature. Right next to virpazar (6 km), so you can use it as a base for the lake trips and trips to the seacoast as well. Or just stay or work from home. Definitely reccomend the breakfasts! Thank you and see you next time!
on the first place is nature and geographically position of the place, close to seaside and located by lake in untached nature. You can visit so many attractions in this small village which is one of the oldest in Montenegro and really feel what this country can offer.
Super cute and comfy cabin. A warm welcome from the host (written note on the fence) and the sweet cat who is very hungry. Warm, nice couch, kitchen and beds. Near the harbor of Virpazar where you can do the boat tour on the beautiful Skadar lake.
If you are going to Virpazar this is the place to stay. Danielle and the hosts were fantastic - friendly and very helpful. Walk into town was only 10 minutes and the pool was great to cool down after with a fabulous view of the mountains.
Marko and his mother are great hosts and we had a wonderful time in the apartment. The view is stunning and the breakfast and dinner are excellent as well. Our stay here was the highlight of our travel in Montenegro.
We stayed for one night and had a great time. Aleksander and his grandparents are very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend staying here while traveling to Virpazar.
Clean, spacious room, central location, suitable for holidays. The owner has good restaurant (Pelikan), offer boat trip, supermarket and train station nearby. Hiking possibility to the lake's viewpoint
The apartment was very clean. The lady was also very nice and welcoming. It is located a bit outside Virpazar, just a short 15 min walk to the village center.
