Best decision to book here - it was a splurge to book here but as soon as we arrived we wished we booked a longer stay. We felt so relaxed and pampered for every moment of our stay, the team at Santre attended to our every comfort. The rooms were spacious, clean and new, with a comfy sun bed and balcony to relax on. The views of the mountains and rolling hills were stunning - the hotel is built against the cliff side so every room has amazing views. The pool and spa facilities are absolutely spectacular and available to use at our leisure. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious - we were stuffed and loved the selection and combination of ala carte and buffet style. We joined in on some of the organised activities such as a trail run, hike, massage and aufgass and enjoyed ourselves immensely. There is so much on offer and to keep you relaxed and entertained through the day. It’s actually such great value for money for the level of luxury and inclusions you experience.

It is a decent base for trips in the Dolomites, but there are better. I chose it due to availability and prices.
While the city sits right on the side of the autostrada, the actual connections to it are quite far and take surprising long to get to.
The Aquarena is a good place for kids to spend a few hours.

The old town is wonderful - its clean its easy to get around . the walks along the banks of the 2 rivers who meet in Bessanone are tree-lined, but watch out for casual cyclists. The surrounding mountains (up to 2000m), and small villages are truly spectacular. Train and bus services seem to be excellent although it can be difficult to get reliable information on times. The Brexin Card (free from our accomodation) provides free/discounted entry to various venues and services. This card is an initiative that otther towns could well adopt to assist travellers

A small, but beautiful part of it is the old town with building from the middle ages that were very beautifully renovated. A modern library in the centre of the old town. With local wine made at Neustift / Novacella. The beautiful Dolomiten-Alps surround the city and they are a great view. The Hofburg is beautiful to visit. But also to have a wine tasting - they produce wine since 1142!!! - at the monastery.

Bressanone/Brixen is such a lovely, quiet, northern Italian town, where is surrounded by the mountains and cluttered with kindness. The general hospitalities from the hotels, restaurants and gift shops are mega great. You don't need to worry about any xenophobic attitude from the residents.
Plus, the geo-location is perfect if you would like to visit Dolomites or having any mountain climbing. The info centre is quite helpful and the paper map is explicit.
To sum up, the town will be one of the best Italian towns i have ever been :) Super recommending undoubtedly!!!!!!!!

We walked in the mountains that was my favourite. Went to town and walked in the old centro, some nice shops. We found a great kitchen store and purchased a few great things I have been looking for. We did not eat as our breakfast was very fulfilling. We found parking very easily and yes it is direct. We should have gone to the cable car Plose but no time. Also found a floral workshop but it was off hours.

This is a very easy going town away from the crowds of the big cities
If you need a quiet place to stay but have adventure on your agenda, Bressanone is the ticket! Head up to the Plose with your Brexit ticket that gives you free transportation by bus, train or cable car - then take your mountain bike up the mountain, or your family, or both!
A hidden gem is Bressanone!
great hotel with nice rooms and beautiful view. Food is decent. It is not Michelin star level and not unique, but made with fresh ingredients. (the area is more Austrian than Italian and so is the food.) dinner also lacked variety if you stayed longer than a few days. I would have enjoyed the hotel more if we just stayed there. leaving to go anywhere required at least 30mins difficult mountain drive one way. staff was very nice, but sometimes couldn’t exactly understand our questions in English when the request wasn’t standard.
Okay, this stay was unique, rustic and quirky. Our room had one chair and a loft bed. Maybe not ideal for a 70 year old couple but we managed. Most of these rooms are on the second level with no lift. There is a nice restaurant on the lower level where breakfast is also served. You can get a welcome drink on arrival. Perfect location. Parking in a public ramp for a discounted fee purchased at hotel.
My entire stay at this property completely exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly clean and luxurious. The location is unbeatable- walkable to town, also right across from the bus stop, and at the foot of gorgeous mountains. The staff was kind, and more than accommodating. This might be the best hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I will absolutely return again. THANK YOU!
We only stayed one night but would definitely return. The hotel is in a great location a short walk from town, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and it looked to have a nice garden. If driving be aware it looks like you cannot drive down the road to the hotel but access is allowed and the hotel car park is 2 minutes walk away.
Beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. The place is perfect to start many hiking tours or to just enjoy a peaceful afternoon around the pool and the spa area. The staff and the managers were always taking good care of their guests. Althought it's rather a big hotel, it is run by a very friendly family that gives a warm touch to the place.
WE LOVED THIS HOTEL!! The rooms were spectacular, super easy to see the Dolomites, the pool, the spa, breakfast and dinner—everything was 5 stars. It just opened in May which is why there’s not may reviews or traction but don’t let that deter you because this is the best stay in Brixen/St. Andrea! We’ll be back!
The hotel is close to the city center by the river. We stayed in an older room which was still nice. The breakfast buffet offers a lot of varieties (including dairy and gluten free).
The indoor pool is open from 6 am on.
The staff is really friendly. The room had enough space.
All was very nice. But as a little minus: I didn't check how high up in the mountains the hotel is before arriving (as we don't have mountains in our country) :) you should have good tires and maybe chains (to avoid some extra situations) for bad weather at winter time
This hotel was very comfortable and had everything you could expect from a hotel. We had just come from a 4 star hotel that was double the price, yet this one had better service and a cheaper price!
The design of the hotel and sustainability of the hotel, as well as the views from the hotel are outstanding. The breakfast is also brilliant with lots of choice. The spa facilities are great.
Lovely hotel with a family feel. Nice and cool ( we travelled during a heat wave) in the hills above Bressanone. easy drive to classic Dolomite destinations.
Nice location in Brixen. Cozy hotel, nicely decorated, comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. I hope to stay again some day.
