Very warm welcome and the owner Sue and her son Ted ran the guest house efficiently and very well. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good and everything was immaculately clean.. Bed was high quality and comfortable. Facilities in room more than adequate. Heating controlled by guest.

Everything you need for a really peaceful relaxing break. Didn't see anyone the whole time apart from takeaway delivery guy. Animals close to you who pop head over fence occasionally but are no bother, nice to watch when sat in hot tub.
Hot tub was fired up ready for our arrival which was brilliant.

The property was in an absolutely beautiful location. Everything you need is there, the hosts have added lots of little touches and thought of everything you could possibly need when staying here. Everything was in working order and clean.
I cannot put into words how stunning the farm is. It’s peaceful and incredibly scenic. The hobbit house was cosy and again just so beautiful with all amenities provided. There were also some super friendly animals on the farm. It was just such a lovely place to stay.

We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners...
We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners were taking over and the place has been transformed. Lovely clean room with a complementary bottle of wine which was a lovely extra. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant which was very tasty and really good value for money and it had a lovely atmosphere with a cosy wood burning fire. We opted for a rate with breakfast which again was fantastic with great quality ingredients and my daughter loved the hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

Supermarkets within a 10 minute drive of site Have stayed at this site many times and have found egress from the site can be risky. We leave the site by turning left, do a U turn at next junction on right, then join traffic with good site in wing mirror. We eat at several different outlets. It is a central location which makes it a good base to...
It is a central location which makes it a good base to explore from. We didn't actually visit the town but drove to the Eden Project, Tintagel, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Polperro, St Austell etc. The local roads are narrow and winding, it takes ages to get anywhere, and you have to reverse a lot back to passing places on single track roads! We are vegetarian and found it easy to find really good places to eat. I recommend visiting Olive and Co at Sibleyback lake.

The hotel is 5 miles from Liskeard, which we did not visit other than to drive through! There is at least one petrol station which we did use. However there are plenty of places of interest within a short drive. We ate at Wheal Tor and several of the local inns.

We like to be able to prepare our own food and to relax at a table rather than going to endless restaurants while travelling. The garden was very pretty and calming, with a delightful little waterfall made by the owners from debris they found in the garden after purchase. Amazing bbq lodge hubby thought he was a Viking hunter gatherer with cooking every night in there, never used the oven once . 🤣🤣🤣 All sole use only the sound of the birds and lots of wildlife for company. The room was spotless, plenty of tea and coffee and a bottle of water, a real mug and a real glass for the water! Plenty of toiletries. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Sadly the bar and kitchen are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but I was may aware of this at the time of booking and they supplied me with information on local restaurants and take aways. Great parking.
