Quirky, with a wonderful host. Comfortable bedroom and a good bathroom, with beautiful grounds (woods, stream and wild flowers) to walk the dog in or just relax. Easy to access from the main road yet in a very quiet rural setting. It’s a bit remote and we’d had a long day, so we especially appreciated the guest kitchen where we could microwave a meal, then sit comfortably to eat it with a beer while enjoying the view. The cooked breakfast in the cafe next morning was good too. Far from being a ‘rough’ driveway, as suggested in a review, it’s a superb tree lined avenue and the surface is quite normal.

Amazing and sincere welcome. We're hiking and arrived a bit dishevelled; the owners agreed to take us to the nearby shop which was so kind. The accommodation is incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, warm and cosy. There is a lovely area to sit outside with firepit, but having hiked for 8 hours we stayed inside this lovely place and cooked a nice meal. As I say, very well-equipped; there was nothing we didn't need. Ensuite is great and the beds comfortable. Totally recommend.
