INCREDIBLY hospitable hosts! They invited us personally to a celebration of the new chimney, it was so quaint and homely. The style of the house is old, but there were so many little details that were nice. The furniture seemed all more antique, solid wooden breakfast bench - the breakfast was most if not all sourced locally (also from the back garden, with homemade jam and fruits).
We were able to stay with our dog (who was welcome to go to the back garden, which looks like it is amazing to sit outside in the spring/summer... we stayed around Christmas), the host's cocker spaniel was cautiously friendly with our dog, the cat wasn't a huge fan.
We would definitely love to stay here again during a different season!

A very impressive hotel set in beautiful grounds. On arrival we were impressed - through a gated entrance up a drive to a spacious secure car park. There was a row of Tesla chargers for those those with electric vehicles.
The gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed a wander past the large ponds with swans and ducks.
We made use of the swimming pool which was well presented and had good changing facilities.
All the rooms have names and ours was 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Whoever had designed the room was very talented and we enjoyed it’s features - we took several photos. The room had an electric shutter, air conditioning, remote control lights and a fridge - the only thing we would have liked was tea/coffee facilities.
There was a high end restaurant on site.
Overall very impressive.

The position near the old town centre would be good for those wishing to visit the Abbey and adjacent interesting buildings. However, finding one's way there by car was exceptionally difficult. The morning staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Since we booked at the last minute we didn't really have a choice. Staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast is ok for the price, location is perfect (right in front of the train station), surprisingly quite. Rooms are big enough and comfortable though not very clean (especially the bathroom), good water pressure (rare for France), the city itself is wonderful and definitely worth visiting. Make sure to have dinner at La Terrase restaurant - the best food I've ever had in France (and I live in Paris!) and really cheap prices
