This is a small rural hotel that is in need of some updating. Our bathroom was very modern, super clean.

I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! Koge is not a touristy town so really nice to see the Danes doing their market shopping on a saturday morning too. Great restaurants too.BirgittaAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

We arrived late lunchtime so decided to eat at Café Vanilla, which provided us with a fine meal. There are plenty of other eateries - some dead expensive. We eat at Vivaldi over the w/e without a reservation, but be warned - we found the portions quite generous. Køge centro is a pleasant little town to visit. We came in a few times - often after a walk along the coast. It's a good walk into town from the bay though. Stacy's Diner is definitely worth a look, and the nearby marina is open and welcoming to tourists. There is a swimming lagoon if you are feeling brave.

A very quaint and attractive town. Some fantastic old buildings and a pretty cobbled square. Good selection of places to eat albeit rather pricey. Virtually everyone speaks English. There is a super model village of the town as it was in 1865 built on a scale of 1 in 10. Definitely worth a visit. Every room has built in sink and allergy friendly hand soap, desk area, tv, bed table, extra pillows. Two towels, water boiler, tea and coffee. The breakfast buffet was lovely, fresh and the hotel staff quick to clean up after guests and super helpful. There is also 4 parking 🅿️ slots for the hotel in the courtyard, and a balcony w.furnitures and blankets for a nice cosy time outside w. Your tea. Really cool historical decor and interior as well.

The neighborhood is very safe, not far from the center of the town. 15 minutes walking. Mall is nearby. I particularly liked decorations inside: paintings, small boxes, all the vintage stuff.
