We went to the other side, Lerici and the towns around the Bay of Poets which was only a few minutes drive. Plus the hotel is close to one of my favorite towns, Sarzana, which has a great market every Thursday.

We were told that only 7 families live near the property. We slept like babies thanks to the peace and quiet. The host was very welcoming to our special requests about breakfast. Our room was absolutely breathtaking and romantic with the warm fireplace.

Borgata Cantone Country House B&B is 10 km from the Albenga exit of the A10 motorway. The city of Alassio is a 20-minute drive away. Breakfast was exceptional; our host prepared fresh organic egg omelets for us each morning and there was always fresh pastries (homemade pies, tarts, breads). The design and architecture is very well thought out - it has an authentic Italian villa feel but with modern facilities like the bathrooms, spa and pool. Perfect and safe place to vacation with young children. Best part though was the host - we travel a lot and have stayed in many different types of accommodations around the world - Emanuel was incredible. I would come back here in a heart beat.

An 18th-century stone house with swimming pool, Il Nido nella Bionda features rustic rooms with wood-beamed ceilings and some with stone walls. It is in Brugnato, less than 1 km from the Shopinn Outlet. Highly recommed this place. Very cosy accomodation with very nice garden & pool.
