Honestly this hotel was where I was at most peaceful, I think people don’t know about it much so it feels like it’s just you in the jungle. Which is exactly what I prefer. The pool was very clean. There were a few ants in the room but honestly we are in the middle of a jungle so there’s bound to be a few ants anyway. The staff is extremely extremely hospitable. They do not try to cheat you in anyway (mentioning cuz the other hotel I stayed at did). But the staff at Cottage Sigiriya was the best. Do not think twice definitely book this place.

Delicious breakfast (we especially loved returning to enjoy it on our first morning after doing sunrise at Sigirya). The owner is so helpful and friendly, always asking if we needed anything and helping to arrange transport etc. I would love to return here some day but in the meantime I hope you enjoy it too!

The weather was a bit cool, but the wind felt amazing. We could feel the breeze and enjoy the view. The area is very pretty and awesome. We had really good meals there, which made our stay even better. The food was delicious and added to the enjoyment of our trip. It was great to have such tasty meals while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Overall, our stay was very pleasant because of the lovely weather, stunning views, and delicious food. We would love to visit again in the future.
