Situated in Azumino, 24 km from The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, Azumino Salon features accommodation with a hot spring bath and a hot tub.

This home has everything you need for a luxurious stay. It’s got such a beautiful feel from early on in the morning when you feel the crisp air. We particularly loved the private hot spring, and most of all, the host was obliging, hospitable and wonderful to engage with. We had such an incredible time in the little town of Azumino, which had so much to do! The town has many fruit farms and rice paddies and is just a beautiful countryside escape. We really felt such a great sense of community in this town and met such lovely people. Make sure logistics are well organized - we had to take a train and then rent a car to get here, but it was totally worth it. The drive itself was a treat with autumn foliage throughout the mountains. If in doubt, just do it. Especially if you’d like to get away from very packed touristy spots in major cities.

Nice quiet location outside Matsumoto and close to some great hiking areas to the West. It's a Japanese traditional house therefore you need to antecipate beds on the floor and shared bathroom. Very friendly owner that explained how are where thigs are and work
