The fact that the staff left us enough groceries for breakfast the first morning was so awesome. Totally alleviated the stress of having to feed five people after the previous days travel. I loved the lodge, a quiet retreat, no TV, no WiFi, very little mobile signal... Amazing read two books, ran twice in the grounds of the estate. Plenty of walks by the liffey. A real escape from modern life. Breda (the lodge warden) was fantastic, helpful, friendly and a mine of information.
