The so-called, and recognized only by Turkey as such, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is a curious place. On the one hand, some people may love the slow pace of life, and the lack of commercialization and tourist areas, and think of it as charming, whereas those of us who have visited both sides of Cyprus may think of it as the boring side, but everything is cheap, and counterfeit (Did someone say Louis Vuitton handbag!?). A visit to Girne (or Kyrenia) town center , will leave the average tourist shocked at how a whole town seems to be comprised solely of shops that sell, quite openly, only counterfeit goods. It is surely a reflection of a country’s lawless society if this part of Cyprus violates international copywrite laws so freely. Other than the town center, Kyrenia Castle is worth a visit. Turkish Lira is worth next to nothing, (at the time of writing this, it was 14p to 1TL) so I’d recommend using Euro’s to buy your Rolex watch, or Gucci Wallet, so that one has some idea of what you’re spending. For me, Northern Cyprus is only worthy of a day trip, and not a place to send much time in.AngelosUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
I would recommend this resort to families wonderful location...
I would recommend this resort to families wonderful location clean beach with clear waters and an excellent Aqua Park. Children disco and water activities with excellent selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
