I’m a bit partial because I’m from there but, it’s the most laid back city you’ll ever want to visit. Most of the people are nice but, as in every city, you have those that take issue with others. Sad but true anywhere you go. Natchitoches is full of history. Take as many tours as you can and try and get to the tours on Cane River(where I’m actually from), you’ll love it. All sorts of things to do year round. Plan your next trip to Natchitoches and also book your stay at Chateaux St Denis on second street. Safe travels and enjoy your stay!!

We enjoyed the tourist part of the downtown area. 4 block of neat shops. Especially the Oldest General Store! I understand the Christmas displays are wonderful to see! Hopefully we can come back and see them.

The only thing that could have been improved is that the TV's maximum volume was too low for me. When the fan on the air conditioner/heater was on, I struggled to hear what was being said on the TV. My hearing is okay so I simply think the maximum volume was too low.

Beautiful southern downtown appeal.
Beautiful southern downtown appeal. Friendly residents and all the charm of a southern town.Hotels and B&B are within walking distance to river and downtown restaurants. Maglieaux Restaurant has lovely riverside patio with live music , dining and cocktails
We have always enjoyed staying at Comfort Inn and Suites, however, the area was having a cricket infestation and we had to share the room with a bunch of crickets. However, they stayed away from us. Mostly near the window and ac unit and in the bathroom. They didn't bother us while we slept, at least not that we noticed anyway.
The facility was great though, but the cricket swarms were just unmanageable I suppose as the entire area near I-49 truly was infested.
Everyone was extremely nice, helpful and seem to enjoy working at the hotel and meeting people. I loved that the hotel is close to downtown shops and restaurants and had private parking.Love the ambiance of the hotel. Breakfast had a good variety and was cooked adequately. Love that the hotel has a bar, dining area, snack/necessity shop area and outdoor patio sitting area.
Room was spacious and clean and the hotel was very nicely maintained. Good to have a basic breakfast included (and free wine available during happy hour!), and staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had a virtual job interview one morning during my stay and the Wi-Fi stayed well connected throughout.
Very cute hotel in the middle of Natchitoches. The breakfast included was satisfying, the parking was at an open parking lot but it was right next to the hotel and the rooms were nic and clean. Overall very nice experience.
The location was close by the stores to shop and the Christmas decorations on the main street. The restaurants were close by. Hotel is a beautiful place. You have to eat at Mayeaux's!

Tracy at front desk check in was FABULOUS! She made us feel so welcome. She was very knowledgeable of the area and offered great suggestions for our stay in Natchitoches.
