The room was big, quiet, and comfortable. We loved the jacuzzi style bathtub, especially after long hikes. The location was good too: edge of town on the east side which made it easy to get on the road to Yosemite.

We loved this room. It was clean and comfortable. The bedding seemed new. It had laminate floors in all but bed area which we loved. Cute and nice.

Mariposa is an interesting little town with lots of places to eat and a variety of interesting and quirky shops. The locals were friendly and helpful. It is very conveniently located for those wishing to visit Yosemite National Park. The drive on the back roads from El Portal to Mariposa boasts some spectacular views

Mariposa is a nice country town with good range of shops, services and food options for its size (including a supermarket), even in our early spring visiting time. This is due to its proximity to Yosemite NP about 70km away (our reason for visiting). If using the YARTs bus service to access the park its a great base.

Mariposa is about as close you can get to Yosemite without staying in the park, but it's still an hour drive from the valley. This is fine if you're visiting the park for 1 or 2 days, but after 2 days, you'll definitely have had enough of the driving. The town itself is very cute and has tons of nice places to eat. There is also a very large supermarket.

The Day and Night Staff were very kind and helpful, everything was clean and functional, and you CANNOT beat the natural beauty a short distance away. Yosemite is a national treasure for good reason. :)

Mariposa is a small town, nothing much to see.
Mariposa is a small town, nothing much to see. We stayed there to visit Yosemite. But Mariposa has no mobile coverage, Had we known that beforehand, we'd have stayed in Yosemite village, inside the park, which has good mobile coverage.

Great little town, very hot in the summer.
Great little town, very hot in the summer. Near the Yosemite Park entrance that is closest to Yosemite Valley. It is historic with several nice shops and restaurants. Check out The Grove House for a great selection of Micro Brews and great food. Excellent mixed drinks and live music as well! Stay here if you don't want to spend over $400.00 a night!
Villa is in a beautiful, secluded location. We loved the well equipped, huge kitchen. The games room is awesome!
Mountain views from deck are incredible!
Jennifer was very helpful and responsive.
We use the Villa as a base for 3 days of exploring Yosemite. We also loved nearby Mariposa -a charming town with cafes, restaurants, cute gift shops, a lovely park, plus wine tasting and olive oil tasting on offer!
Great place! The room is really clean and nice! There are separate houses, so lodgers will not bother each other. Staff is friendly and very patient to explain the solution of our question. It takes 40 mins driving to Yosemite Park, and 10 mins to Mariposa if you like any Mexican food and prepare food and drinks from the mini mart. If you don’t mind a little more driving, this place is a pretty good choice!
Beautiful house with stunning views. Well located near Yosemite, and Mariposa town is lovely, just a short drive away with a nice variety of restaurants. Margaret and Charlie were absolutely lovely and so accommodating, and had a wealth of knowledge of the parks and the local area! They communicated throughout via WhatsApp which was very helpful and reassuring. Could not recommend this place more!
It’s pleasant. Located in the centre of Mariposa.
Breakfast included in the price, with the basics (waffles, yogurt, meat patties, bread and oats).
The room is big and basic clean. Bathroom good as well (shower could be higher tho, still can’t get over how low the shower head is)
For the price you pay in US for hotels is good, and one hour away from Yosemite Valley which is convenient.
The hotel is lovely. The rooms are spacious and comfy. They are well-kept and clean. Also, the hair dryer and iron were really good!
The staff were really wonderful. Great recommendations for Yosemite and for dinner (several options within walking distance).
Really convenient for getting to Yosemite, and very easy to get to from San Francisco.
I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Stayed for couple of days at this location while we were visiting Yosemite valley.
Very nice experience. Best wishes to the staff.
Rooms are well equipped. Hot breakfast is adequate. Pool and common areas are maintained well.
Short walk by the hotel to Mariposa park is recommended.
Was totally satisfied with the stay.
Visit to adjacent store ‘Chocolate Soup’ is also recommended.
The place is very good, located in a quiet area. Good size for a group of 4 friends. River Rock Inn was very clean, and the beds were comfortable.
Great communication with hosts.
Shame we have arrived quite late to explore the area, but Mariposa seems to be a nice little town. The host provided clear check-in details for those arriving late.
The hotel boasts an exceptional location, conveniently situated near major attractions and transport links. The rooms are well-appointed, featuring a comprehensive range of amenities that cater to both comfort and convenience. This combination of a prime location and excellent facilities makes for a truly pleasant stay.
We love this location and have stayed here a couple times. The rooms are always clean and we like where it's located not only in Mariposa but to Yosemite. Everyone is always nice when we stay there. We always ask for extra pillows and towels and they made sure to have them in the room when we checked in.
A very pleasant town of Mariposa to continue the journey to Yosemite. A hotel that deviates positively from the classic American hotel. It has its own soul. Although it is not stated when booking, you also get breakfast. Not as big a selection as elsewhere, but quite enough to start the day.
This place is a real gem, close to town center, there is a nearby market and a gas station.
If you are traveling to Yosemite N.P. or Kings Canyon N.p. and looking for clean and comfy rooms with helpful front desk. This is the place.
We booked the Yosemite Inn last minute because our other hotel got evacuated because of the Oak Fire (July 2022). The receptionist was very friendly and kind. The room was big and comfortable. Everything was perfect.
The room was clean and comfortable. There were a few restaurants nearby, within walking distance. It was an easy approximately 1 hour and 15 minute drive to Yosemite. Check in and check out was very easy.
The very old hotel is charming and in the middle of Mariposa down town , very easy to take the bus to go to Yosemite valley.
Terrace for the breakfast was really nice.
