Holiday Inn is always a safe bet when selecting a place to stay. Great location with a casino next door and not inside the hotel itself, which is greatly appreciated.
A continental breakfast is provided each morning and an indoor pool is featured at this hotel. Guest rooms include free Wi-Fi. The Nevada Northern Railroad Museum is 5 minutes’ drive away.

Lovely hotel where we made good use of the swimming pool and hot tub. Breakfast was also appreciated and it did have slight changes each day which is welcome. There's a good Mexican restaurant nearby and a large supermarket next door. Short walk to the excellent railway museum where you can take a ride on a heritage train.
Offering a restaurant and a fitness centre, Prospector Hotel & Casino is located in Ely. Free WiFi access is available in all guest rooms.

The room was great, and we very much enjoyed drinks and food in the dog friendly, vape and smoke friendly casino! Value for what we got was great. Everything was clean and the staff was fantastic; we very much enjoyed it and have already booked another stay this fall!

It was an older hotel but the room was spotless with all the amenities we needed. Comfortable bed and lots of pillows. After we checked in the manager stopped by with bottles of water and told us about the continental breakfast.
Our room and building was ok. The jacuzzi wasn’t working.
Our room and building was ok. The jacuzzi wasn’t working. The front office staff said they were “waiting on a part,” put it was said in a very unsure and unbelievable way. Our friends, however (both in their 70’s), were given a room in a separate building on the second floor WITHOUT AN ELEVATOR!!! Not cool, La Quinta. Not cool. Plus, the sink was clogged, and it took an hour to get a plumber to show up!

Front desk was very accommodating. Room was clean.
Front desk was very accommodating. Room was clean. Everything worked. Apparently the hotel is upgrading some rooms. This room didn't have a microwave but we asked the front desk and she brought us one immediately.

Ely is a small town with very friendly people.
Ely is a small town with very friendly people. There are multiple hotels to stay in, each with a slot casino. The town seems to roll up around 8pm but the casinos are 24/7 and resturants within them stay open a bit later.
The Great Basin national park is about an hour away and this would be where you would want to stay if you are visiting there as the town of Baker, where the park is located is very very small with only 1 shop and no gas station.
We came for the Northern Nevada Railroad experience and my dad drove a steam and deisel engine train there. This is a museum as well. The railway is truly the town's gem.
If you come for the railroad experience, take a day to drive to the National Park, and make sure you also visit the White Pine Museum if you like small county museums.
The people of Ely were all very kind and genuinely nice.
If you are just roadtripping the loneliest highway(Hwy 50) and drive through Ely, make a stop and check out the historical Hotel Nevada.

I love Ely, this is my 4th stay.
I love Ely, this is my 4th stay. I have always had a memorable experience. One thing I wish I could have enjoyed was the new art gallery and Mercantile downtown. We arrived after they closed and left before they opened. So cool hearing the train blow its whistle as it chugged through town as well. On a former trip we visited the White Pine museum and it far exceeded our expectations. Worth a stop, for sure!

Best place to stay in ely is the Pioneer and la Quinta.
Best place to stay in ely is the Pioneer and la Quinta. Really good food options here, I suggest margaritas inside pioneer for Mexican food and good friendly service. Nardis unfortunately closed... and the local restaurants are pretty good like Piccadilly pizza and the local steakhouse. The art museum and the connected store is a fun visit, the thrift stores are charming, highly suggest coming between fri-sat.
The manager was very friendly and offered an excellent reference to a Chinese Restaurant that had excellent delicious dishes to eat. Don't let the outside appearance of the restaurant fool you. The meal was absolutely delicious with quick service despite being short-handed. The hotel had a very comfortable bed and the place was very clean...it's an older hotel, but the place was clean and staff was friendly and helpful....and priced inexpensive to lay down after a long day of driving. We definitely will stay here again.
We were very pleased with the location of the Motel and the size and cleanliness of the rooms and the property. Although the impression that staying in a motel is not as nice a hotel, Bristlecone Motel has been one of the nicer places we have stayed. We will definitely be visiting Ely, Nevada again and will be staying at the Bristlecone. Also, we traveled with our small dog and she was welcome on the property. Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations.
For a basic hotel in a very small town this was a pleasant getaway. I chose this corporate hotel because in this tiny town all there were otherwise was small motels. Even though I prefer to support small, independent businesses, I’d rather pay a little more for a place I know I can trust in a situation like this.
Everything was nice and as expected. Clean facility. Friendly staff. Quiet room. Good breakfast (with eggs, sausage and waffles!).
We love the King rooms. Spacious comfortable. It's the best hotel in Ely. Love the back grassy yard. Pet friendly too. Consistent quality, clean. great for couples. e love the lady at the front desk!! She's awesome! been there for years! Love the indoor pool and spa. Minimal kids, quiet. <3
Breakfast was at Denny's and is included in price. Price includes a "Value Slam Breakfast with Coffee". This is the place to stay in Ely. When the hotel was built, it was the tallest building in Nevada. It is very historical. The locals seem to hang out here.
We have just finished a trip and stayed in six different hotels. This La Quinta is by far the cleanest of all. We’ve stayed there at least three different times and it appears the hotel has gotten even better. Will definitely return.
It was an older hotel but the room was spotless with all the amenities we needed. Comfortable bed and lots of pillows. After we checked in the manager stopped by with bottles of water and told us about the continental breakfast.
They supplied a bag-breakfast which we really liked because we could get it, heat it in the microwave in the lobby and then hit the road eating it on the way to the days activities. I think more hotels should do this!
The bed and the linens were very comfortable. Room was clean and staff very accommodating. The entry to the room was shoveled nicely. There was a lot of snow and it was handled accordingly.
