The room was nice and clean. Breakfast is different from other hotels and it is great if you need to leave because you are in a rush you can just grab your little sandwich after heating it up in the microwave and take off.

We liked that it had everything we were looking for in that area and a great breakfast selection. The omelettes are delicious!
The room was very comfortable too, we didn’t have time to go in the pool or the hot tub 😔

I loved the lite and airy feel of the place. Very cute and quirky in a good way. The coffee/breakfast spot connected to the hotel is pure genius!! Who wants to go out looking for a coffee or bite to eat before checking out.

This place is not for a family or kids because the night we staied there they had hookers, loid music and noise throughout the night. This place sucks. they advised me if I want my money back to contact Booking.com and they will send them a email and Days inn will refund my second night, that was a lie, they I contacted Booking.com costermer service and they lied also by telling me they will get me refund in ten days, that was another lie.

we were there for our Son's wedding so we were in festive mode anyway.
We also stayed at a hotel in Otay Ranch Town Center which was much closer to all of the Wedding activities and Wedding. Lots of good places to eat and things to do there.
We like the Rambler because it is more centrally located to all of the San Diego area and is really easy to get in and out of. We prefer to stay at Hotels that are not the homogenous chain type and that have a more local flavor which The Rambler certainly has. We look forward to our next stay at the Rambler. We hope it's soon.

I loved everything around, wish we've stayed longer but what a comfortable hotel for the little hours we were in it, definitely going back soon! It had a lot of places nearby to check out plus the border being near by is definitely a plus!

The bathroom is infested with cucarachas / 🪳 roaches
They were everywhere on top of the sink and on my tooth brush I had to trowed it away
The complete bathroom had an horrible smell
I asked for a king size bed and I got a queen size
Not a single chair to sit on
There was no comforter !
I will not stay at this hotel again !!
I sure would love to have my money back
But I know it would be to much to ask .

Horrible experience, first of all at checkin the credit card...
Horrible experience, first of all at checkin the credit card machine wasn’t working so the employee send me to the nearest gas station to get cash from an ATM. After I did that we went to our room and as soon as we open the door we notice water on the flood and the room smelled funny. The AC unit was leaking. The bathroom door don’t have a handle nor a lock, just a freaking whole where the handle goes. There was also a water Roach on the bathroom wall. After all that I honestly couldn’t stay there any longer and we ended up leaving after paying $80 dollars for the night.
I expected the room to be paid when I got there, vut waa informed that that the credit card info I gave when reserving was not charged, that the room is charged on arrival at the hotel. Also, the TV remote did not wirk at first, the receptionist had to come up to the room to fix it. Addionally, the shower was not clea, there were hairs on the shower walls. Dinalky, the wifi did not work properly; it was really slow which did not allow me to conduct some business video calls… lost money in the process. I will not stay there ever again.
Very nice, new hotel a few blocks off I-5 in Chula Vista (don't enter San Diego into your gps, or it will direct you to a place in downtown SD with the exact same address). Comfortable, clean, quiet, safe, and well appointed. Seemed very well run and relatively new. Friendly and helpful staff. Would certainly stay again. Seemed a little pricey but this is California. Some excellent food takeout opportunities nearby.
I traveled with my family and they upgraded my room with two beds, a sofa, and a kitchen. The room was spacious and clean and the customer service was excellent. The location was perfect for Chula Vista as it was near plenty of restaurants at a walking distance and the freeway. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here next time.
Everything exceeded my expectations! Short commute to downtown San Diego, Balboa Park and the zoo. I had a minor problem with the TV but when I reported it, it was fixed almost immediately. Great bathroom and shower! Late check-in was not a problem. All the staff were friendly and helpful!
From the outside and the online pictures this place looks like an actual decent Hotel until you arrive and realize that is just like a cheap motel feels and looks like it, not to mention that the rooms are extremely small one can barely move in there. Not a good experience.
El Primero Hotel is a very nice and quiet location. It has a warm homey atmosphere. Our host was so nice and helpful. We were in Chula Vista for a concert in San Diego. Its very close to gaslamp or the border. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you El Primero!
I loved how comfortable the bed was, the decor was so cute and made me feel good after a long day of traveling. The staff was very sweet and helpful. Traveling can be expensive so I appreciated the discount at the cafe for being staying at their hotel.
Comfortable house very conveniently located to main Chula Vista shopping center and many other shopping and dining options. The use of the garage and the washer and dryer were very useful for those on a road trip. Host is very friendly.
Beautiful Hotel. Staff is great. Rooms are clean with fresh towels. Free Breakfast in the morning. Lot's of shopping around the area. Very nice gym area with a view from the 3rd floor. Will stay there again.
I love the motel 6 in chula Vista. Thats the one I always stay at. Its convenient, clean, near stores, freeway, . The staff there are nice. They accommodate well! I'll be back girls! See you soon.
clean hotel, comfortable rooms, wonderful fitness area (light, space), swimmingpool, possibility to do laundry, hotel is in a residential area that is quite new with many shops and restaurants.
The price was relatively cheap, and the proximity of the motel to the major highway nearby meant it was far enough off not to hear traffic noise but close enough to pop onto it in 2min.
Great location for everything around the San Diego area. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Hotel and everything well presented and clean throughout.
Ok for a night, rudimentary room, bed was ok. Bathroom as so often in the cheaper hotels not uptodate and in bad shape - still usable but definitely due for replacement
