We were greeted in a very professional and courteous manner and were delighted to be offered an alternative room with a wonderful view over the Pont Louis bridge and river, the room was spacious and comfortable. The lift to the quayside was invaluable given the steep climb back to reception. I would certainly stay here again, my thanks.

What a hotel! A must stay when in Porto and we preferred staying on the Gaia side. Literally right next to port lodges and walkable to everything. It was like the Ritz Carlton with Marriot prices. We ate at the Yeatman restaurant which was the best meal of my life. Absolutely loved this place and will be returning.

Beautiful part of Porto, right over the river with plenty to do. Most of the Porto wine "caves" are on this side of the river but getting across is a quick uber ride. We did a Tuk Tuk tour as well and got to enjoy a Fado performance at night. New Years Eve dinner cruise was great but book ahead so you don't miss out! I would definitely visit again!

The area has plenty of interesting things to visit.
The area has plenty of interesting things to visit. Of course, the region is very well known for the vineyards and the respective Port wine cellars, which you can visit and even have a wine tasting. A walk by the river is also recommended.

Being across the river from the old town means gorgeous views and a wonderful relaxed vibe. So many great places to eat and drink all within a short walk. And the old town is easily accessible by foot, tram, even cable car. You are surrounded by the port warehouses, and other renovated industrial buildings. The whole area has had a recent facelift and the city as a whole is very safe and friendly. Everywhere you go the staff and shopkeepers go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing stay. Except the lady in the tourist information. She must have been having a bad day!

Great for walking, views and access to historical areas of both sides of the river. People are suer friendly, and the area is very touristy. We walked the waterfront for several miles and had a great time, as well as the normal touristy stuff.

Wonderful riverside location with a beautiful view across the river to Porto. Lots to do and many restaurants and bars close by.
We enjoyed using the cable car and it was a short walk over the bridge to Porto.
The Port cellars are all here and it’s only a short bus or tram ride to beautiful beaches.

the location in Gaia, on the west side of the Douro River, is on the rail line one block from the metro station that provides access into Porto. They provide parking (at an additional but fair price). If this is your first time to the Porto area it is a good place in terms of staying away from the fray of Porto. There is a shopping center across from the metro station (one block away and same side of street as hotel) so if you need to find something you can get it there. Staff was helpful and friendly.
This hotel is exceptional; the staff are professional and nice, and everything is clean and arranged properly.
The rooms are huge and have amazing views. I was upgraded to a superior room, and the view from the terrace was breathtaking. I spent 70% of my time in Porto/Gaia just sitting on that amazing terrace.
The room service was delicious and high quality, nothing cheap here.
The Spa had great options.
I loved the city, but the main reason I might come back is the hotel.
Everything was great. The apartment was clean and cozy, near all of the amenities (walking distance). It is located in a peaceful environment in Vila Nova de Gaia. Our host, Nuria, was very friendly and helpful. On our way out we accidentally locked a wallet in the apartment and Nuria and her friend took the time to come in a hurry and bring us another set of keys.
Hopefully we'll come again and visit beautiful Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia and try to stay in this apartment.
Excellent views of the river & Porto from nearly everywhere in the hotel. Great location right by Ponte Luis on the Gaia side. Clean property. They do have a small parking garage that must be reserved in advance. It is a tight squeeze with a small car, forget it if you have a large car. Lovely, friendly staff. Have a drink at the Adega Bar & perhaps you'll be lucky enough to snag seating in the huge window with amazing views.
I have been staying at the Gaia residence since March and it is for sure one of the best and most comfortable places to be in Gaia/ Porto.
And there is close to one of my favorite places Jardim do morro and cais de gaia with all the restaurants.
It is a nice apartment style room but inside the hotel and very big and comfortable. Cheaper then many small rooms in Porto, very quiet and elegant.
Vila Nova de Gaia location in walking distance to all Port places and very close to Porto across the bridge. Excellent conversion of former police station into a boutique hotel. New building very quiet and with great view from 2nd floor rooms (see picture). Very friendly staff. Clean and modern-friendly rooms. Public garage down the street (we were lucky to find a spot right outside the door).
We liked the hotel with its ambiance and kind and helpful staff. We really loved the good taken care of buffet breakfast tabel. the hotelroom has good beds, a view on the garden and was nice silent. When we come back to Porto/Vila Nova de Gaia we will choose this hotel again. It lies close by the river, restaurants and easy walk distance across the beautiful 'Eiffel' bridge to Porto.
It's the best hostel I've ever been... The people are so helpful and nice, breakfast is gorgeous and better than in some hotels, you can get water, coffee and tea all day long, rent a bike for free and get some discounts for cooperations.
On top, location is perfect in Gaia. Just 10 min walking over the bridge to Porto riverside and you have the best view to Porto from the hostel :)
The lady in the hotel was very gentle and helpful. Due to the fires in Portugal I could not make the initial reservation and showed up in the hotel three days earlier. Although both reservations were non-refundable she accepted to refund me for the non-show day. An excellent breakfast and very willing staff to help on everything we asked.

Big, modern and very clean apartment with a great location at Vila Nova de Gaia. Stunning view of Porto within 50m out of the flat. Easy to get to many places by foot, proximity to a metro. Nice and well equipped kitchen, strong wi-fi, privat garage. English speaking host, friendly, welcoming.
Best location in Porto. Directly next to Ponte Luis I bridge, amazing river view, great choice of restaurant options at the hotel and around the property. Super clean rooms including bathroom, welcoming and attentive personelle and service, fantastic food.
Loved everything about the Hotel, Staff and location. Honestly couldn't fault a thing, they even organised for a trip to the Douro Valley for wine tasting which was brilliant! Would definitely stay again if stopping in Porto.
Amazing location on waterfront, with beautiful view of Porto opposite and the bridge slightly to the right. Vila Nova de Gaia has its own character and buzzing atmosphere. Loved opening the window and soaking it up!
Great location, really easy access to Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. Literally located next to the Port wine caves. Property was very good and met our expectations for cleanliness and features
Beautiful, quiet, well maintained, easy walk to the waterfront overlooking historic Porto. The owner communicated easily and made sure we had everything we needed.
