Posh all the way around. Enjoyed the sauna, hot tub, indoor pool and natural pools. Great breakfast and super comfortable beds. Best shower on the island. Great location for activities in the NW part of the island.

House has all the comforts of a family vacation home, spacious well equipped kitchen, private lounging bbq patio, family room… parking driveway is a little tight but still very nice to be off street. Beautiful views, quiet locale but also close to nearby attractions, grocery and restaurant. The drive to and from property is hilly and sharp turn at places, can take getting used to but not unusual for Madeira. Silvia the host is very responsive, kind and welcoming, checkin and out was simple and easy. Wonderful stay! Highly recommend.

Beautiful view. Owned by locals who gave us great advice about the area. Isabel is very kind and helpful. Beautiful farming area with lots of hiking trails nearby, but also a short drive to the amazing ocean baths in town.

Loved the sea pools, with cafe for after swim drinks. and the peaceful evening walks. Easy to catch a bus further afield. Harder to get to levada walks than I expected, and I would avoid the ones that come back down steep hills to coast - rough and dangerous surfaces

This is not a sand beach vacation.
This is not a sand beach vacation. There are tidal pools to swim in if the weather cooperates. Be aware that the north side of the island is cooler and more likely to rain. We enjoyed our 2 night stay by the ocean but that was enough

Very good base to explore north-west side of the island
Very good base to explore north-west side of the island
Nice option if you want to cool down in the pool-there are actually 2 spots with ocean water, one more natural than the other, both can have better tourism services and catering options

A beautiful little town with the most beautiful swimming in Madeira in natural pools with sea water and sea fish. Protected from the waves and great for bathing and swimming, in a beautiful wild nature surrounded by rocks. Everything is close by car, the most beautiful levadas, the Fanal forest. Really spend more days.

We were driving around Madeira Island for 8 days & Porto Moniz was 1 of the most scenic area, beautiful rocky formations with the natural pools. We only stayed overnight, but wished we could have spent more time here, experience swimming the natural pools. Beautiful instamagramable picturisque views. We highly recommend Porto Moniz.

Porto Moniz is a tourist town in the far north of Madeira.
Porto Moniz is a tourist town in the far north of Madeira.
the ocean view is amazing.
The city has both natural and paid natural pools, where the only option is to swim.
if you are a fish lover, there are really many good restaurants in this city.
for us, the tastiest fish was Espada.
It is also a great place to visit the Fanal forest, the Telegrafico gondola and the Rabacal area.
for us, who are fans of bends, steep roads, beautiful nature and of course the sea, this part of the island was the most beautiful.
This amazing house is on top of a hill near Porto Moniz. We were welcomed by a clean, tidy and modern house with a breathtaking view on the balcony. The rooms were on the ground floor which also had balconies with a sea facing view. The house is very huge and we had the whole property for ourselves. We had a great time during our stay. The place is half an hour drive from Seixal Beach, Reibera Da Janela, Ponta da Ladeira etc. I would always recommend this stay.
Casa das Escaleiras offers a truly exceptional 180° ocean view and is located in a privileged position overlooking the lovely town of Porto Moniz. It's a modern house totally rebuilt instead of an old dwelling, whose nude stone walls have been integrated cleverly into the cosy bedroom with wooden ceiling. The house is fully equipped (even a separate barbecue room and a swimming pool are awaiting you) and uses solar energy.
Wonderful house, well designed and furnished with everything needed for a week-long stay. The location was perfect—close enough to Porto Moniz amenities but still very quiet and relaxing. We really appreciated the opportunity to explore a different side of the island, having previously stayed mostly in the south. The host was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when back in Madeira.
We loved the location of the hotel, with all the restaurants around plus in a close proximity of the ocean. You can open your window and listen to the powerful sounds of waves breaking on the coast.
Both the natural and paid pools are close by for you to enjoy.
If we were to come to Porto Moniz again, this hotel would be a first choice on our accommodation list.
The hotel is new and nice. The staff is super nice and helpful. Nice breakfast at the Sea View Rooftop. Free entrance to the natural pools and the ability to use the facilities of the other 2 Aqua Natura hotels in Porto Moniz is very nice. Also the welcoming drink, the chocolate in the room and the small farewell gift were greatly appreciated.
Terrific place, spacious, well equipped and maintained. Outdoor area was fantastic, nicely landscaped and lit at night. Tastefully decorated, absolutely lovely and close to all amenities. The sea is a few minutes walk and the grocery store almost next door. Clearly the best part of our two weeks in Madeira.
it was beautiful and clean, not just actual cleanliness but also design. loved the separate kitchen. I was able to cook there after shopping at supermercado in Porto Moniz.
I really liked the place and look forward to going there again ( my comments below are why it is not a perfect 10)
loved the WiFi
Great value for the accommodation price. Super polite English speaking staff, willing to accommodate us in the middle of the EURO 2020 football match (Portugal vs France). Also, we had the opportunity to choose our room. Parking place right in front of the accommodation.
The location is very close to ocean pools; our room was quite spacious. Good parking: they allow to park both in the underground garage and behind the hotel. Breakfast was OK. The people working there seemed extra nice and helpful.
I cannot begin to put into words how serene this place is - it exceeded our expectations above and beyond
if I could rate the hotel and staff and town a 20/10 that would be even not come close to how perfect this place is!
We love everything about this hotel! Already the 3rd time we are here. The view is truly amazing. Beds are very comfortable. Porto Moniz is a great place to stay and this hotel is the best place to stay in Porto Moniz.
The view to the island of Porto Moniz from all rooms. Lots of space here inside and outside. All balconies in the top floor are accessible and belong to the apparent even the ones in the back of the building.
A wonderful small hotel positioned in the very center of Porto Moniz. Great view from the balcony and extremely friendly personnel. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Definitely recommended.
Absolutely amazing hotel!
Super hospitable, the receptionist was incredibly nice and helpful.
Definitely good value for the price.
I also recommend their Sea View Restaurant which was great.
Nice and friendly staff, welcome drinks, great bedroom with sea view, excellent breakfast, great dinner. And free tickets to the Porto Moniz natural swimming pool.
We will return for sure!
Hotel is very clean and contemporary with large size rooms. It is ideally located in Porto Moniz right near the pools and also near grocery store and restaurants.
Beautiful view from big balcony over the ocean and Porto Moniz. Big clean house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. Washing machine is a big plus.
