The place was really nice. It was the first time our German Shephard felt like at home from the first day and didn't see any signs of anxiety for beong left alone. This allowed us to rest and have the peace of mind that the dog is felling good also. The yard is more spacious than you can think from the photos.

The Quinta Da Foz is a beautiful historic house. We had a very enjoyable, comfortable and interesting stay there. Francisco is an excellent and welcoming host and took the time to explain the history of the property

It’s an impressive Lagoon with warmer pools for swimming.
It’s an impressive Lagoon with warmer pools for swimming. Great for kids, but always aware of the risks brought with the changing tide. The ocean beach was wild and spectacular do not really swimming weather.
There were some nice bars snf restaurants, but not overpowering. Very much a Family resort.
We liked the ones closest to Foz and in Foz itself.

Fab beach and lagoon.
Fab beach and lagoon. Plenty of free parking (I expect it would be really busy in the summer) . Good bars and restaurants at the beach. Would recommend the Central restaurant in the town centre ...great food at a great price...
Worth going to the viewing point which is at the end of the Variante Atlantica on the roundabout especially at sunset...

Foz do Arelho is a beach resort with a freezing Atlantic...
Foz do Arelho is a beach resort with a freezing Atlantic Ocean back beach with surf and undertow and a much warmer “front “ beach on the crowded lagoon which is very good for a long swim.
There is also a great cycle trip to Óbidos through vineyards and orchards.
What a wonderful stay! The hotel was once the villa of a wealthy Portuguese family built in the 15th century, and is still owned by the same family. Our room was once the suite for the priest of the chapel in the main building. It was spectacular, with a comfortable bed, fireplace, in an amazing setting. The owner couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Peacocks, goats, sheep, and two very large Great Danes. Make sure to see the chapel. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
This is really a feel good place. We spend here 5 nights with our familiy (two children of 12 and 9) at a prime location close to the sea and the spectucalar beach area of Foz do Arelho. We enjoyed our morning coffees and evening dinners on the balcony with the ocean view very much. The apartment was light and spatious, located in a friendly neighbourhood. In close vicinity you can do some really nice walking over the cliffs.
Owners are super helpful and welcoming!
Everything…we have spent 3 weeks in Portugal from South to North. This was the most beautiful Home, serene, picturesque place we have stayed. Most comfortable bed, pillows, hot shower, Views, Delicious breakfast. Fabulous housekeeping everyday. There is a Pool & Gym on premise. Parking is available at no charge. Graceful & Delightful Hosts. Extremely Clean. Close to many Day Trip towns. Great Restaurants nearby. There is a washer for your clothes.
The property is a former manor house, out buildings and grounds dating back to the mid 1500s. As such, it provides a unique experience. The owner/operator is a charming and gracious host willing to share the history for those that wish. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely appointed. We would definitely return, given the opportunity.
We loved how central the apartment was to the town of Foz do Arelho and to the lagoon. It had a very generous balcony where we enjoyed the sunset. Modern and minimalistic decor helps to keep the apartment from feeling cluttered. A 2 minute walk to the bus stop and we could travel to Caldas for the day.
This is a simple basic hotel and as such, no complaints. Room decor a bit tired but everything was clean and perfectly comfortable. TV had a decent variety of channels of all languages. Good location with easy 10 minute walk to the lovely beaches in Foz.
Old hotel (built in 1910), beautiful character. Brilliant location, we slept every night with the doors open to listen to the sea. The breakfast was nice and simple, the beds are super comfortable. Rooms are significantly bigger than the average hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was upgraded and the room was perfect for me. It was clean, comfortable with a powerful shower.
Breakfast was ample and tasty with a variety of choices.
A great little hotel I would heartily recommend.
Nice views, cleanly maintained rooms and hotel. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh bread and pastries. Infinity pool was nice and with greay views as it was in a small climb from rooms.
The property had amazing views over Foz Do Arelho beach. Spotlessly clean and high spec of furnishings. Excellent air con and great extras like the windbreak. Bed was super comfy.
It was cute, clean and close enough to where we needed to be. So in that sense it was perfect for us for an overnight stopover with the whole family in the same space.
Lovely property a little way from Foz do Arelho. Great views, swimming pool, garden and huge shared sitting room, dining room and kitchen. Great ambiance.
