Swidnica is a great base if you want to explore the mountains along the Polish-Czech borders, but it's also a very interesting town (pop. 57,000) in its own right. It has easy-going, friendly people and everything you might need in terms of food and shopping (even its own shopping centre). It's easy and pleasant to walk around. A beautiful city with heritage landmarks, a significant cathedral, lots of history. Well maintained parks, great taxi services. The city square is a pleasant place to walk, shop, and sit outside in the cafes. Still have local farmers bringing in fresh produce on the square. Amazing. 90 minutes to major ski resort Szklarska, which is beautiful in summer.

We used an "automatic" form of accommodation. And we do not have any problem. We received the code from the entrance as well as the code of the parking gate in advance. Keys from the room were waiting on the desk. It was really simple, so you do not worry about this. The parking is near the hotel. The hotel has a very good location. It is very easy to get to the city center by walking from the hotel. Breakfast was nice.
