The guesthouse was very spacious, especially for our party of four, and having a washer and dryer was extremely convenient. The house was well furnished and comfortable. We appreciated the basket of snacks, although we didn’t use most of them. It was fun seeing the cows and sheep and birds in the field all around us. It was a great place to watch sunsets too :) Overall, this was a great home base for Húsavík and Mývatn.

The location is unbeatable.
Having the opportunity to walk a short distance from your hotel room to enjoy the waterfall outside of peak tourist hours is priceless.
The patio and bar were wonderful.
Husavik and Akureyri are only a 30 min drive from the hotel for dining, whale watching and other activities.

This guesthouse was exceptional. The host made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived. My room and the common areas were very clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and included lots of fresh and delicious options.
