Our hostess Joan was pure class, a very experienced BnB operator. The home is set up with large comfortable guest rooms, and a sitting area for guests. She stored our refrigerated items for us with no question. Breakfast was the best we have had in Ireland. Local knowledge was very helpful.

We have visited Listowel on many occasions before and find it a pleasant market town with some nice shops and friendly locals. This holiday we spent more time in Ballybunnion and Tralee. Ballybunnion has a great beach and also a leisure centre with swimming pool which is easily accessible. Tralee is a big town with a great leisure centre like an indoor Aquapark and Kerry Museum and Siamsa Tire - National Folk Theatre for Ireland, that hosts cultural events and traditional Irish Dancing. Listowel is 10 minute drive, Ballybunnion is 15 minutes drive from Baker's Cross and Tralee is a half hour drive.

Listowel is a lovely town with great outdoor recreational facilities and a strong history of celebrating literature and writers. It is a good base from high to explore northwest Kerry, from the Dingle Peninsula to Ballybunion and Foynes, where transatlantic flying boats used to land. For those unused to Irish roads and streets there are the challenges of driving on the left hand side and some tight turns and through ways, but that’s no different than driving anywhere in Ireland. I like the fact that it is not a town that gets inundated with tourists. The food at the Listowel Arms was excellent, as is the Horseshoe Bar. Woulfe’ s bookshop is worth a browse and the risk of leaving with several purchases. The greenway is a fabulous community resource.

Very well situated town to explore south and west Ireland.
Very well situated town to explore south and west Ireland. It has lots of facilities and pubs with live music. And a nice river to walk along it. It is surrounded by countryside. It's a clean place too. There's a very nice hotel, the only one in the area where you can eat and have a drink.
You can easily walk around the town. And the castle! Although quite destroyed, still good to visit and hear about its history.
Fantastic spacious ground floor apartment. very comfortable, and central. Check in/out was very easy, the man who met me (forgot his name) explained everything I needed to know, and gave me a map of the town showing me where the nearest free car park was, so no need to pay on street parking. So glad I booked here for my stay. First time booking an apartment in Listowel, and will definitely be returning again.
Great location - a few mins stroll into the centre of town. Property seemed to be recently decorated - it was spotless and very modern. Very comfortable, great value, great breakfast and Noreen was a pleasure to deal with. She went out of her way to make our visit a great experience. Next time I'm in Listowel I won't even bother looking at other options. Plenty of parking outside too.
Received a warm greeting on arrival, and was given great advice about what to expect, as I was there for the Listowel Races. They even sacrificed one of their day passes to the races for me, as they thought here was a chance I wouldn't get one, as I was arriving late. I was blown away by the kindness of this gesture. It was very central. Nice easy-going place.
Breakfast was terrific! Cooked to order every morning. Don't miss the warm scones. Behan's is a great location in the center of town. We had dinner their twice and everything was fresh, hot and served well. It was a great location to visit many of the sights in Southern Ireland. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and certainly recommend them to all.
The room and bathroom were quite big, all you need is there. Liked the mirrors in the room, enough space in the shower (compared to other places in Ireland). Loved the hostess, very open, just you need to ask if you want something. Got amazing coffee in my thermo cup :) and breakfast was served as in a restaurant, very welcoming experience!
The house was amazing and had everything we needed, the only thing that did not make it feel like home was a tv in the bedroom. But that is the American in us. LOL!!!! The views were beautiful and it was nice and quiet. Had no problem sleeping. I would highly recommend Derry house do anyone I know going to Listowel.
Aoife's B&B is the reason to stay in guesthouses rather than hotels. Right next to town. Perfect for concerts at Mike the Pies and for the races. Spotless rooms, homely and Aoife is great craic. Lovely family home so you get all the tips for everything thats happening locally too. Back soon!
A gem in the centre of the vibrant town of Listowel. The room and the hotel facilities were are a modernized version of a traditional grand hotel. The building had a sense of history, situated on the town square and backing on to the River Feale, close to the river path and Greenway.
Joan & pat were very friendly hosts, the breakfast was really good i tried the white pudding which was a 1st for me xx they gave us a lift into listowel a few times and even picked us up from a night out the room was very clean just home from x keep up the good work xxx
Our family booked the room at the last minute and our host was very helpful and accomodating. We had breakfast in the downstairs restaurant the next morning which we all enjoyed. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We would stay there again if we are back in Listowel.
The best house Iv every stated it the couple are amazing friendly and so kind I will never stay at a hotel again if this house is available when I’m next in Kerry will be booking this house from now on
I made the booking for my parents who were attending a wedding in Listowel. They gave it a glowung reference, excellent staff, fabulous room, lovely breakfast and also said the pub was lovely.
Had a brilliant stay at The Apartment at Carriglea. Place was lovely and location was ideal. Only a brief stroll to centre of Listowel. Would highly recommend the place.
Lovely B&B close to the centre of Listowel. Great location to start off a trip around Kerry. Our host, Noreen was very friendly and the breakfast was also great.
Well equipped spacious apartment, walking distance from the centre of Listowel.
Super Value shop across the road.
The host Eleanor was responsive and helpful.
Lovely hotel. Very quant & historically interesting. In the town so close to shops & bars. The staff were very nice, as was our breakfast, lunch & dinner.
A lovely warm welcome, comfy clean room and 100 per cent proper Irish breakfast. Far better than some souless hotel - Aoife makes this a lovely experience
