Temple Bar Hotel, hotel in Castleknock

The Temple Bar Hotel is a 5-minute walk from Dublin’s 2 main shopping streets, Grafton Street and Henry Street. It offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi and modern Irish cuisine.

Everything was fantastic. We arrived late after being extremely disappointed with another hotel very near this wonderful place and the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming. A really really nice experience. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name who was on the desk on the night but he is an absolute credit to your hotel!

The Gibson Hotel, hotel in Castleknock

With panoramic views across Dublin Port, The Gibson Hotel is next to the 3Arena. It boasts bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a 24-hour gym, a fine restaurant, and secure private parking.

I have stayed maybe 5/6 times in the Gibson hotel and have had a great stay on every occasion. Staff are consistently welcoming, warm, friendly and very helpful. The hotel always feels safe and secure. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and the showers amazing. The Rituals shower gel/shampoos range etc are a welcome addition. Food and atmosphere in both the restaurant and bar is always great and the service is friendly and efficient. I would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff involved in this stay for making my daughters 16th birthday extra special for the Mitski gig. Our room was upgraded and was set out amazingly with a birthday balloon and card from the hotel. She really appreciated the unexpected extras included. We are already booked to stay again in August for the TV Girl gig. 😍

    Castleknock is a nice place.

Castleknock is a nice place. Would be much nicer if we had the facilities we paid for. I would never stay there again. Couldn’t get to talk to management only receptionist. Fire alarm hanging from ceiling. I had guest of 20 people to have food and drinks. Couldn’t find anything else as it was a bank holiday.

Well the location is perfect .

Well the location is perfect . The reason I booked that hotel is because I'm from that area and eating many if there and ar that 12th lock for food and drinks . Many years ago so when booking accommodation and 12tth came up I booked it known about the facilities before I got the abd when I got there I was shocked for the price o paid. Close to 800 euro for 6 night . There was no facilities to make food or to buy a drink . Vending machine had condoms and lube . But the icing on the cake for me was went to reception and ask for some sugar and I was told there was none . I was only later that if had booked through the hotel I could of it fir €50/60 a night . I'm you will read this I feel I need some sort of companion for the poor surroundings and no facilities for me . Ps your staff where amazing.

Excellent value for money. This is a no "no frills" hotel.

Excellent value for money. This is a no "no frills" hotel. What do you expect for €70 per night? It was clean well maintained and had comfortable beds. Our room Had a double and a single bed so could easily have slept 3 people. It has good location just off the M50. a 20 minute drive to the city centre, very close to Pheonix Park for a morning stroll plenty of free parking. When We go places we have little interest in the hotel itself and just want a place to rest our heads so we don't need all the extra frills that we pay for in some hotels. This place suited our needs perfectly.

Great location, great transportation options, 30 minutes...

Great location, great transportation options, 30 minutes away from downtown using public bus, safe area at any time even night, quiet place. Reception staff need more hotel and service skills. Breakfast not included with room. Bathroom was ok, clean, nice. US standard hotel, this is good in comparison with the regular European standards for hostels and some hotels.

The hotel is convenient to the airport.

The hotel is convenient to the airport. It also accepts dogs - important for us. It is very basic, with low cost, so it is unfair to judge it too harshly. Receptionist, Pedro, was excellent, much above the standard we expected. Café breakfast was a disappointment, apparently due to chef not turning up! We hadn't time to finish, due to early flight schedule. Room & bed were adequate, but carpets in room and corridor need cleaning/replacement! Access to motorway and airport - convenient. Overall, practical, no-frills, economical.

This hotel did not advertise the fact that their restaurant/cafe was closed. My colleague was diabetic and she couldn't get breakfast in the morning. She also couldn't make herself tea in the morning as there was no milk! The bedsheets were dirty and the sink was the size of a hand! The room was in the basement and was dingy and depressing. This hotel was so overpriced. Extremely disappointing. I asked the owner to call me and he never did.

Everything was very good except there was no place to get any food or drink at the hotel. We had to walk for 15 minutes in the rain to get food. This was not stated on the Booking.com Site.

The location was beautiful but I don’t understand why anyone would put a hotel next to very busy train tracks. The staff were delightful.
