It is hard to describe why, but when I checked in my first impressions were that I immediately felt at home. Mathias Rex had a light, airy feeling, with a very nice courtyard and it was impeccably clean and ordered in appearance.

It is a standard stop for me when travelling through Hungary. Simple but cmfortable rooms, Airco, Balcony, nice garden to sit/work in.
Bottle of water in the room, very nice so you can make coffee/tea when arriving late...
A complete kitchen in the basement where you can cook/eat yourself and /or make breakfast.
Staff was very helpfull. I arrived late, but I could simply enter my room and the last day easy check-out, just leaving key in room.
Small issue with lights was solved in no-time.... So yes, for sure next time again.
