Wonderful location, especially to Plitvice national park - there is a side road to entrance P3 ferry that you can walk to and not worry about going to entrances 1 or 2, pay for parking etc. This route was not advertised anywhere and the front desk folks told us about it. Good onsite restaurant with free breakfast and other meals (paid). On site mini zoo (they have dogs, rabbits, goats, pony, pigs etc) and play areas would be a kick for families with small kids. Staff were very friendly.

It was beautiful, clean, modern with charming details and the family was so sweet. The location was perfect , you could easily walk down to the lakes from where you could start all walks or catch the boat. The food was super delicious and there was always an option for a vegetarian meal. All family members were so lovely and kind and made us feel like home. It was more than perfect! We would highly recommend staying here and will hopefully come back!

It's the best place if you want to walk Plitvice Lakes park, in my case I stayed 3 days because I like walking almost every path 😊. If you're a fast walker you can do the park in just one day but it's better to take your time, that place is dreamy. Plitvica Selo is a tiny location where you can go to the park via entrance #3 where you can avoid loooooong lines waiting.

    The location is amazing.

The location is amazing. The lookout at the top of the main park waterfall is a short walk from the premises. The quiet serenity of the area is remarkable. Getting up early for a walk in the misty paths was a true treasure. The room is truly comfortable and homely with all amenities required. Host Ante is a great cook and also shared ideas and things to do with our upcoming stays in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik, which helps a lot in especially choosing a restaurant. I would truly recommend this stay. It is a great location.

Plitvice Selo is just a couple of houses without any shops...

Plitvice Selo is just a couple of houses without any shops but mostly cottages/apartments for rent, but with a few restaurants. It is very close to entrance 3 (15 minutes by foot), so you do not need the car for your stay. From entrance 3 you can either walk or take the boat to the other end (included in the daily pass of the national park - book in advance!). It is a lot less touristic, but this also means you will not find many places to buy food (even inside the park) or eat in, hence a good accommodation which provides this is very helpful.

Plitvica selo is a small village right next to the P3 entrance of the Plitvice lakes. It is a quite village in nature without any stores. There are only a few places you can eat or have a drink within walking distance. For more choices you need a car. It maybe difficult to be in Plitvica selo without a car. Great place for outdoor activities such as walking, hiking and biking.

This small village was originally a dairy farming community...

This small village was originally a dairy farming community tucked away in a small glen among the mountains of Plitvice National Park. A few miles off the main highway, it is accessed by a lightly trafficked country road with occasional breathtaking views of the canyon below and the river flowing out of the Plitvice Lakes. The inns, in keeping with UNESCO rules, are the original historic farm buildings, which have been renovated on the interior. The inns are within walking distance of a lesser known and lightly used third entrance to the park, from which one can begin exploring this beautiful National Park.

Beautiful place in the heart of the beautiful lakes.

Beautiful place in the heart of the beautiful lakes. We stayed here while it was raining which did not stop us from enjoying beautiful sceneries and nature overall. We bought raincoats for decent price easily. Definitely coming back for nicer weather. Place is the heaven.

Our host Marko, was gracious and had a lot of information about the park. He offered us a glass of wine and helped us plan our visit to the park. The apartment we had was very comfortable. I slept so well in the bed mostly due to the very comfortable comforters. Also the shower was the BEST we had in our entire trip in Croatia this includes staying at the Hotel Excelsior in Dubrovnik. It had great water pressure! Area is very quiet and it was nice to be in the country. Plitvice lakes is absolutely magnificent.

We had such a wonderful stay! Lucy and Ante are such lovely people, and they've done an amazing job with this family-run hotel. So welcoming and they really went above and beyond. Ante is an incredible cook! We chose to have the 3-course dinner both nights we stayed, because the food was so good. My husband and I would definitely stay again. Thank you both for all your warmth and such a memorable time! There are some easy routes you can take to access the national park from the hotel as well.

This place is more than a hotel/air B&B, it is more like a home. The staff there is like a family member who care about you, give you all the tips about the park. The breakfast and dinner are excellent, I personally loved the ribeye steak and the ice cream. The room is spacious, clean and modern. The location is within walking distance to the P3 of the park, we can walk a short distance to see the big waterfall without even getting into the park.

The hospitality of the staff was really good. They arranged whatever we could ask for. Jasmine was very welcoming and guided us pretty well throughout our stay at Plitvice. It felt like at home away from home. Good rooms, good bathrooms! Good food.. don't need to go to any other restaurant situated far away from the hotel.

Dusan is very friendly, thoughtful and helpful. He makes good breakfast and gives good tips about where to go and what to see. The bedroom is very spacious and it is like what you see in the pictures. The best of the hotel is its location. Walking distance from Plitvice lakes. We didn’t use our car during the whole stay.

Great location inside the park, lovely new and spacious rooms, excellent shower and they let us park the car for the day at the hotel while we visited the lakes. Like other reviewers, we also had a nice evening meal at the small restaurant of the b&b over the road. Limited menu but tasty food and friendly service.

The location was good - close to the park. We were a little confused however, as there are two hotels which have names that are very similar. Make sure you go to Ethno Houses (plural) and not Etno House. The food was also fine, although nothing spectacular.
