The location to the town of Stalos and the beach is great. They have an awesome pool, comfy beds, and it was really clean. They helped us book a taxi to the airport for the morning we were leaving, even though reception wouldn’t be available at the time we needed AND they knew we would be missing breakfast so they made us sandwiches to take on the road.

We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, with a few restaurants and markets in the area, takes 20min by bus to the closest big city - Chania. The receptionist was also very cool and helpful and recommended us nice tours on the first day.

We like this area due to the beach, the local tavernas and the hotels. Kimatogi is our favourite taverna with delicious specials every day and our favourite hotel is Renieries on the top of the hill, with beautiful view and with the family athmosphere.
You can easily go to Chania with the bus which stops many places in Stalos. From this area the tourist buses also can pick you up easily if you want to visit Elafonissi, Balos/Gramvousa,Samaria Gorge but also to the other area of the Island.
Or with going by car it's also easy to get around and it's near to a junction to the Speed way.

Too quiet not enough to do and see.
Too quiet not enough to do and see. Restaurants not typically Greek mainly serving pizza and pasta. Couldn't get coffee before 9.am. There was no bakery. A lot of properties very run down. Very few general retail shops. It was better to catch the bus into Chania

We booked this hotel to be close to Chania but were very pleasantly surprised about what Stalos had to offer. We spent more time there than expected as it had a good selection of restaurants for both lunch and dinner. Lovely beach and a short(but busy) bus ride to Chania. An ideal base.

Stalos is mainly low rise and less heavily developed than further west. The live music at Dionysus taverna was excellent. The breakfast at Evilion bistro is also excellent and very good value.
There is good walking up into the hills through the olive groves. Lake Agia via Pano Stalos and Kirtomades (turn left at the bottom) takes about 1.5 hours though the cafe is closed on a Monday.

We only stayed for one night as we arrived late in Chania and needed a hotel close to the airport. The apartment was really nice and clean and satisfied our needs. Our plane was delayed and the owner was waiting for as to check in late. We could park a car in nearby car park. There was a lovely swimming pool and a garden. Beach only half a minute walk.
we booked this place for just 3 nights. We loved it so much that we cancelled the hotel we had booked for the two last nights of our holidays so we return here. the staff was always smiling ang ready to help. the pool was infinite and also had inflated beds inside. lots of sunbeds. the bar had everything from juice, ice-cream, snacks, food. We enjoyed the Antikristo night so much that I danced with the rest of the tourists. It will be our No. 1 choice of hotel everytime we come to Crete. Thank you guys for making us feel like home.
The development was peaceful & quiet and away from the main road. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The gardens were attractive and well maintained. The room was spacious and very clean and overall the facilities excellent. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was adequate. The external space was eccellent, well equipped and very spacious. The swimming pool was a good size and the temperature perfect. Access to a washing machine was great as we had been on the road in Crete for 4 weeks.
Well. What can I say. After my very last minute booking I got a call from the lovely hotel manager Nikos, who sent me some additional pics of the room I stayed to make sure that I'm completely happy.
Then after the first night I went to the pool bar and met the wonderful Georgia, who's taking care of every single guest with her heart and serves delicious breakfast, snacks and refreshing drinks. Georgia is the best!
A place with a very nice and calm atmosphere right next to the beach. Coming back asap!
It was the perfect choice for our stay in the Chania area. It is about 15 mins to the City of Chania by bus and car. The hotel is located directly at the beach. The beach bar is awesome with very good food. The staff is very friendly.
The room/ furniture was a bid old but still functional and not broken. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. The property was always very clean and the atmosphere, being directly at the beach and near the City was a perfect match.
Right on the beach! Beautiful sand, short walk from back of hotel to clean beach water. No slippery rocks, no sea urchins, can swim without care. Beach chairs available at hotel and adjacent. Excellent food options steps away. Parking available too. Super convenient. Room cleaning daily. Nice balcony, fully stocked kitchen and refrigerator, cooktop. Laundry line with clothespins on balcony, very convenient!
Stylish, extremely comfortable, sparkling clean and very well equipped private accommodation.. There was not a thing that was missing there. It's hard to describe with words, you have to experience it yourself. An ideal place for a family vacation. If we go to Crete, we will go there. The owners were helpful and understanding. Thank you and we wish you all the best.
This place really is a dream. If you want to relax and be taken care of, this is the place.
Everyone is so nice and helpful, the cleaning ladies did such an amazing job on our room every day.
The breakfast is so good, so many options and all fresh!
You have a beautiful view of the sea and a great pool to relax in. The beach is just across the street.
We spent a lovely holiday at Ilios village. The villas are beautifully located, very clean and well-equipped. Also, Dimitris is an amazing host - super kind and helpful. It’s worth renting a car, local beaches are just few minutes drive away and Stalos is a good starting point for longer trips to visit Crete’s west and south coast. Highly recommend!
Very spacious room, nice shower and clean. The location is across the street from beach and if you don’t mind a short walk towards the next town the beach becomes cleaner. We were here in October so less crowded and the second pool was not open. It was a chilly pool due to frequent rain during our stay. It was fairly quiet at night.
Peter and his team at Cretan Dream Royal were brilliant - our entire experience at the hotel was perfect. Interesting fact: the hotel restaurant is very well known on the island as being one of Crete's best restaurants. I've already recommended Cretan Dream Royal to a few friends who are travelling to the island in late August.
The staff was super friendly and helpful, they recommended very good sights and restaurants in Crete. The room was clean and well-equipped.The view from the terrace and from the roof garden was my favourite. The pool was big enough to swim and it had a perfect temperature.
Me and my family really enjoyed our entire stay at these apartments. They were clean, spacious and close to many restaurants and bars. The owners were also very friendly and welcoming. The apartment also has a fantastic view of the beach. We hope to come back again soon.
Breakfast was good, as was the rest of the restaurant. The beach was quiet and cozy. There is a shop, a few restaurants and a bus stop near the hotel. Stalos is quite quiet, but Agia Marina is within walking distance and Chania is easily reached by bus.
The property is perfect. If you are looking for a spot on the beach. It is set back off the busy street. All you hear are the sound of the waves. Family owned restaurant is part of the hotel across the street. So charming and delicious.
A very family friendly hotel with a life guard at the pool. It is in a quiet area of Stalos however still within walking distance to restaurants and beach. The reception are so very helpful.
It was perfect! We loved the view, the pool area and the restaurant. The lady on the reception was very kind and all the staff were good! We were in 3 Hotels in Crete and this one is the best!
An extraordinary location, a remarkable ingredient of our trip in N-W of Crete. The staff was professional and the host very nice. We had a seaview apartment, the view was breathtaking.
