If you want a special experience go to Skopolos. We arrived by ferry from Skiathos which is only 1 hour and 14 euros each. Visually the town is special from the sea and is very friendly and full of nice bars and restauraunts but is also very chilled. Prices are sensible.

Very wide choice of restaurants and bars, but not all open when we visted at end of September when everything was begining to shut down. There is no real beach in the town so transport is requred, local buses are good but services reduce in September. Lots of steep slopes and steps so not ideal for less mobile. The town has very much the feel of a place that has been taken over by tourism. Plenty of trips to visit parts of the island and other islands.

Lovely island with a lovely port with many shops and restaurants. Extremely safe and it has a lovely vibe about it. We took a Mamma Mia tour which was inexpensive and a great way to see some of the main sites around the island and visit some lively beaches. It is very mountainous and the roads are not for those afraid of heights. Skopelos town is definitely the best place to stay

Picture-perfect Greek town, totally unspoilt, with some amazing bars and restaurants. Great for all ages and tastes, and the whole island is easy to get around on the local bus. Some stunning beaches to visit, a definite must-visit Island.
Regina Hotel was very accommodating. My ferry arrived several hours prior to check in and receptionist, Visili, allowed me to both store my bags and relax in their downstairs lounge area, providing a bathroom & bottled water. I relaxed, wrote and read there as it was a very warm day. As soon as a room became available I was allowed to check in about 2 hours early which was really very welcomed. The location was excellent because it was just off of the main walking street but yet set away enough to be quiet in the evening.
Uncle Johns Guesthouse was the best value for money hotel on the whole islands we visited (Skopelos and Skiathos), so full marks.
Staff and owner were extremely friendly.
The room and bathroom were spotless clean.
The design of the relatively small room was extremely well done in terms of use of space, light and decoration.
Nice common sitting area in the courtyard.
Air conditioning worked flawlessly, high quality insect screen to balcony.
Sea view :-)
There was a small gift as a welcome.
Clear recommendation!
This is what I call hospitality. Feeling welcome, having a few chats, receiving good tips and the amazing bougatsa and cheese pies. It's quiet, just outside Skopelos town and just the way you want to feel in Greece. A good starting point also to discover the island (just go down the street and rent a motorbike and off u go). If I come back to Skopelos, I don't even doubt where I will stay. This is not a luxury hotel, but I have never seen such value for money. Perfect!
The house is located in the lower level of Skopelos town which provides a very easy access. It is also very close to the supermarket as well as the downtown area. At the same time, it is a very quiet neighborhood. The garden is wonderful. The owner is super nice and pleasant to deal with. Mama Soula's fig jam is amazing!! The house/room was very clean and fully functional. Me and my girls would love to come back again!!
Location is nice as its about a 15 min walk into the center of Skopelos town. The staff is very friendly and helpful! A few things were missing from the rooms such as cutlery and hangers however the staff was more than happy to bring anything we needed to us. The rooms were refreshed every two days, they changed the sheets and brought fresh towels which was nice. Family run so keep in mind this a hard working family!
Nice Greek hotel just outside the old part of Skopelos town. It was lovely wandering through the little alleyways nearby finding bars and restaurants. The breakfast area was outside but undercover so a perfect spot to enjoy the lovely breakfast buffet. The swimming pool and reception areas were lovely. There was a little welcome basket in our room which was a nice touch.
The apartment has a wonderful view of Skopelos Town. It is hidden from the wind and sounds from the streets. Owners of the property are very decent people, and are always there to help. The apartment is regularly cleaned and fresh linen is being provided. It all creates very comfortable conditions for spending holidays.
Beautiful, comfy room in an ideal location. The view from the balcony was lovely and the setting was very peaceful. The staff were amazing and very very thoughtful. Breakfast was incredible with the best honey I've ever had, homemade by the family who run the hotel. Really special place - thank you for having us!
My arrival at the hotel was a breeze. The fast check-in process was a pleasant surprise, and the reception staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Their warm welcome set the tone for a memorable stay. It's these little gestures that make a big difference in the overall experience.
The accommodations were clean and modern and close enough to walk into the center but just far enough to not hear noise at night from nightclubs, etc But what really made the hotel stand out was its excellent, caring, helpful professional staff.
From check-in to check-out, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident. It's clear that this hotel values its guests' experience, making it a fantastic choice for travellers seeking comfort, affordability, and exceptional service.
We loved Elli Hotel. It is a traditional, family-run hotel, spotlessly clean and wonderfully warm and welcoming. The rooms are simple but lovely, and they completely met our needs as a family. Simple can be beautiful :-)
You can tell the owner, Mary, loves her job and takes a lot of pride in her hotel! It is very clean and very good value, especially the rooms that have a breathtaking view over the town.
Great location right near Skopelos town. Really easy to get to everywhere you need to go! The property was overall nice. Very close to the bus to take you to other parts of the island!
