We went out of season with few people on the island except...
We went out of season with few people on the island except the core of locals, most tourist businesses closed. We chose it as it is small and we expected it to be quiet, and only one hour from Piraeus by ferry. Nearby Aegina is much larger and another option, but you would need your own transport (hire cars available). in season i could imagine it being super busy and seeming crowded.Norman BayAustralia - 10Scored 10

A lovely small place but perfectly formed with supermarkets, a bakery and restaurants of course. The locals are friendly and make you feel welcome.. A perfect place to chill out and unwind , if you are the restless type, a 20 minute walk takes you to Skala along the coast which is quite lively. E bikes and push bikes can take you further, there are stunning beaches all along the coast.The downside is that they are all pebble beaches. A 15 min ferry ride takes you to Aegina the neighbouring island. Hotel Milos organises day trip tours to islands such as Hydra, Poros and Epidurus where you get the chance to swim/dive off the boat.

The room was absolutely clean and there was fresh air from both the hill and the sea coming in. I could cook in the room, which was an extra nice for me. The owner met me half way to the studio the first day, and gave me a lift to the port of Skala, when I left. The studio was cleaned every day.
