Newton Brewery Inn was just a short walk from the town centre and supermarket as well as being next to the river, so for my trip this was a great location.
Middlewich is only a few minutes drive from the M6

Not overly impressed by the town itself but the Big Lock pub is in a smashing location.

Loved the place it was OK for our stay and we could compare both rooms one was bijou and modern for our daughters and ours a large family suite. You could hear the road traffic but I can sleep on a washing line so it didn't affect any of us. The staff were so helpful and happy in their work.

I didn't really see much of Middlewich as I had an itinerary in Nantwich already organised. You will need transport to see any of the local sights, although I suspect there could be lots of local walks (but I haven't confirmed this).

Middlewich is quite a picturesque town with some pretty buildings and good walking along the canal; it also boasts good supermarkets and other facilities.
It's a short drive from tourist attractions such as Chester city centre, Chester zoo, Beeston Castle, Northwich and the Anderton Boat Lift, so a good base from which to explore Cheshire.
The location was perfect, as we were visiting friends who lived 1 mile up the road. The coffee shop/Restaurant was excellent with a good variety of food on offer. The cakes were amazing. Easy access from the M6. Central for SANDBACH, MIDDLEWICH, NANTWICH.
THE Farm shop was amazing and not over priced. Also within the grounds, we're small shops, for clothing and shoes, garden statues, a little pet shop.
Very pleasant and helpfull staff. The dynamic owner/manager went out of his way to offer us a large ground floor room when we experienced difficulty with the steep stairs to the first floor rooms. Room 8 is very large, some would call it a mini-suite, with equally large en-suite and spacious shower.
Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and knocks the usual chain hotel buffet offering into a cocked hat.
Very pretty location with nice garden to chill in after a long drive. Caroline and Clive were incredibly helpful and great hosts. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Would go again if we are in the area, much nicer than sterile hotel chains you find dotted around.
There was nowhere in Middlewich to get breakfast on a Sunday and according to friends its not much better in the week. I wish I'd known that the narrowboat did evening meals the Menu looked really good but we'd already arranged to meet family. Will definatly try it next time
Love this place just off the motorway on the edge of Middlewich, staff always friendly and the rooms are well maintained clean and functionally. A favourite stop on the long haul trips I make with work.
Breakfast was in the car park. Facilities were none existent, other occupants talking all night, difficult to find as it’s called something other than the advertised hotel.
Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice.
Easy to find and convenient for our reasons for visiting.
Lots of space inside and outside the hotel was appreciated
