The cooked breakfast was pretty good. I would have preferred normal bacon to streaky.
I had to go & actually do the toast after my breakfast had arrived, when it started to go cold. I would have liked to have been asked what toast I would like then had it brought to me.

Beautiful location, bar area was cosy with a gorgeous fire , very cute dog! Dinner was good, would have been better to have more gfo labelling so we didn't have to keep asking the server if dishes could be adapted or were already gf. This includes the specials board.

Marlborough is lovely with a bustling high street, steeped in history. Lots of bars, restaurants and cafes together with boutique shops to mooch around. While there, we visited the World Heritage site of Avebury with its stone circles and henge and toured the local villages before returning to Marlborough for supper at The Castle and Ball restaurant the first night and Rick Steins for the second.

The best part of our breakfast was being greeted and served by Marina. She understands the assignment and aces it every time. The food itself was very delicious. We will be visiting most positively be staying with The Crown and Anchor again.
Ben and Ditty went above and beyond to ensure that we had an early check-in and that all was well. Ditty is amazing!

The staff were exceptional, the food excellent, and the location - both within the town and also in relation to National Trust and English Heritage properties - ideal for our needs. We ate in the restaurant one night, and at Rick Stein's the next: The Marlborough was just as good as its more famous neighbour.

A lovely town with quaint unique shops alongside the usual WH Smith’s etc, plenty of parking at a reasonable price.
Stunningly beautiful picturesque villages around the town with some beautiful countryside walks and views
Very conveniently located in the centre of Marlborough and dog friendly. They provide a dog bed. We were in room 3, which was a bit cramped, but perfectly fine for 2 nights. Bathroom was spacious, comfortable and convenient, with towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. They really made an effort with the breakfast in the room, considering it's non staffed, with overnight oats, fruit bowls, fresh milk, juice and water as well as some prepackaged cakes and a nespresso machine. Also very good breakfast options available in town.
Quirky little cottage set on the edge of the Marlborough High Street. Well equipped kitchen which is great for preparing food if you're on a budget, if you're happy to eat out there's plenty of cafes and restaurants a short walk away, also having a Waitrose so close is idea.
The bed was comfortable and there's plenty of storage for clothes. The property is warm and cosy throughout and the bathroom as perfectly adequate. In conclusion we had a great winter trip and felt relaxed during our stay.
Staff team were amazing, friendly and courteous. They all went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. Such a doggy friendly hotel, Alfie got thoroughly spoilt, chef even cooked him sausages for breakfast 💙🐾 The room was spotlessly clean and bed was so comfy, it looked out onto a beautiful courtyard that had a Mediterranean feel about it and it was so quiet. Breakfast was lovely and free onsite parking which is a real plus in Marlborough.
The Green Dragon Marlborough is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and bags of atmosphere. The building is very much olde worlde and has some marvellous eccentricities which really added to our stay, however I can imagine that folks who may have mobility issues might find these a challenge rather than a joy. The room was beautifully appointed and the hidden garden an absolute delight.
The pub and food was lovely and the staff friendly. The room was amazing. Gorgeous bed, wonky old floors and a gorgeous fire place. The bathroom with roll top bath was huge and a real bonus. Cosy, plush cushions and nice biscuits and products. Right in the centre of Marlborough with plenty of pubs and eateries. Friendly and efficient staff too.
The cottage looks and feels like a little piece of history. It was easy to find and John was very responsive and flexible to my travel plans. The proximity to stores and the historic downtown area makes it the perfect place to stay and enjoy Marlborough and the surrounding sites. Would definitely stay again!
The rooms are very well done and the location is excellent. The style is more like an Air BnB, with a key in a box to let you in rather than a hotel lobby, yet when I had an issue somebody appeared straight away. For an in-room continental breakfast, it was very good.
The food there was fabulous— both dinner and breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and the location was superb right at the edge of the high street with parking behind the hotel.
Super location! approximately 50 steps to the pub! Tucked back from the High Street but right on the High street :) Marlborough is a gorgeous English town and this house is perfect!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. One young man carried our bags up to our room. The hotel was very central and Marlborough has lots of facilities for shopping and eating .
Friendly staff, comfortable room & central location. Nice atmosphere in the bar for a drink before exploring Marlborough. Enjoyed our one night stay, recommend.
