Lovely little hotel, overlooking the famous bridge. The facilities were exactly as described and the bonus that we didn't use, was the free soft drinks and nibbles in the room. Breakfast was excellent too

Cannot speak highly enough of the Library House and our hosts, Sarah & Tim. The Library House is beautiful, comfortable and full of history. We stayed in the Chaucer Room with access to the beautifully maintained garden. Our room was spotless, with every little detail thought of. The breakfast Room and lounge are charming. Our breakfasts were amazing! We were made to feel very welcome. Would highly recommended as a wonderful place to stay if visiting Ironbridge.

Very old traditional public houses are rare in these days and the location just opposite the new bridge was lovely. Well worth the 4 hour drive from London. Staff and management were friendly, approachable and accommodating. Parking facilities were fair and plenty but only one disabled parking space which was not nearest to the building. The food was really well priced and very tasty, great value for money and drinks prices were more than fair. The lobby by the rooms is spotless offering books to those who decide that they want to read something. The room was absolutely excellent. I have stayed in 4-5 star hotels that the cleanliness was not quite as good, the bathroom facilities were spotless as well. Private outside smoking area away from the pub front for guests is a really great commodity. Regulars are very friendly and welcoming. 2 minute drive to the Iron Bridge brings you into a thriving area with shops, other pubs and a lot of people. Victorian Village is very close by and other great commodities and museums. Would definitely book again. Great prices. Quite surprisingly Uber eats also has a lot to offer in this area.
The birthplace of the Industrial Revolution!! The community has embraced this feature and built out a wonderful collection of museums and sites to delve into this wonderful time in history. The community is welcoming, open and friendly.

We did not access the property. We knew there was no point . We had to find alternative accommodation at huge cost and inconvenience. The property was up a steep narrow road, unsuitable for people with mobility issues to walk. There was no reference to this on booking.com website. The car park was situated more than a 5 minute walk away at the bottom and over the road. This was impossible for elderly and disabled to walk to and from. Taking the car up and down would have caused stress as the road does not allow for 2 cars to pass. None of this was explained in the information. Our break was ruined because of serious omissions

This was the third time we had visited the area. Apart from all the museums there is much to see in the area, from various potteries to the Long Mind area of Shropshire - so different from where we live in rural Norfolk.

So much to see in just a few square miles - the people are exceptionally friendly and helpful. If visiting the attractions for a holiday of a few days or more, get a Pass Plus ticket to enable a year of visiting all of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage sites, with free parking at the museum sites at Blists Hill, Coalport, Jackfield and Coalbrookdale, together with reductions in the museum retail outlets and cafes. Visited twice in the past year from Manchester, once in September and again in February. Plenty of good pubs, cafes and places to eat and drink in Ironbridge too, making for a fantastic short break!

Living so close to Ironbridge I didn't really appreciate the area.
Recently I returned to Shropshire and needed somewhere to stay.
My choice of accommodation was influenced by the fact that the Robin Hood being my local when I lived in the area..
Comfortable cottage, everything provided including tea and coffee with milk in the fridge. The location was perfect, quiet area but with a relatively easy walk to the main attractions of Ironbridge. The information sent prior to our stay was very useful. Although there is no parking at the cottage, there was a parking bay not far away but during our stay there were no available spaces here, luckily we were able to park in the local pub but if this was not an option parking could be an issue for guests.
The flat was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well.
In general it was well equipped for self catering though some kitchen scissors and a couple of storage boxes would have been useful. Also more tea towels.
An easy walk down to Ironbridge - though harder coming back up! (However the museums are quite spread out so if you want to do several in one day, you need a car).
The little sitting room was great spot for an afternoon cup of tea or a glass of wine
A really delightful, family owned and run hotel. And that shows -this is no standardised chain. its character and the attention to detail is impressive.
The food is excellent (do try the blade of beef), the staff friendly and helpful, the warm, oak panelled interior is full of interest, and the quirkily charming garden a must for a stroll after breakfast.
And it is superbly positioned only a few miles from the many attractions of Ironbridge and the Gorge.
* Location - 10 minutes walk to the ironbridge, short drive to other museums such as Blist's Hill
* Opposite a beautiful park and near to the river
* Local shop 2 minutes walk
* Well-equipped kitchen with a lovely terrace.
* Comfortable beds and en suite to the main bedroom
* Lots of TVs and hairdryers
* Warm throughout the house and lots of natural light
* Washer/dryer and clothes airer for dealing with muddy clothes (we visited in late October)
Really good location for exploring Ironbridge as easy to walk to everything in the area. The property was well equipped for self catering purposes, the hosts very thoughtfully provided milk, tea/coffee, biscuits and sachets of condiments. It was also very dog friendly with treats provided. There were lots of towels and the hosts told us to knock on the door if we needed anything, they were also very informative about the local area.
On the macro scale, it's a perfect location for exploring Ironbridge Gorge. On the micro-scale, it's really nice to be located above a cosy cafe!
The little extras--like fruit juices in your room refrigerator and slices of fig cake upon your arrival--made the experience of staying here special.
Exceptional staff responding to your needs and requests.
Bravo!
Breakfast was not provided as self catering but we like to thank the hosts for leaving fresh milk in the fridge together with all items for us to make tea or coffee. We liked the layout of the property and everything looked fresh and new. Parking space was very near to the entrance/exit to the building. An excellent place to stay in a quiet location.
Lovely warm, comfortable room with river view and all we needed for a one night stay. Staff young and very pleasant. Breakfast at neighbouring hotel was excellent. Easy option to eat in house evening meal. Tea/coffee, iron/ironing board and hairdryer in room. No complaints and would definitely recommend/ stay again.
Location was great with a superb 4 poster bed and nice breakfast in the morning with a nice 1.2 mile walk to the beautiful Ironbridge.
The Black Swan public house was less than 200 metres away serving a great choice of food at reasonable prices.
Local Craft museum and other local attractions nearby.
Perfect location for visiting Ironbridge. Close to the bridge and only a short walk from the car park. No hotels have parking in Ironbridge. Good selection of drinks, great breakfast and an interesting dinner menu. Pop in for a pork pie at Eley's Pork Pie shop.
A wonderful few nights here. Staff were busy buy always polite and helpful
Room was clean- though hot at night
Breakfast was excellent; and the food offered in the pub was reasonable and very tasty.
A great place to stay to see the sights of Ironbridge
Nicely located for a walk into Ironbridge. Black Swan has good food close by. Owner was happy for us to leave the car for an extra couple of hours on check out day whilst we went for a walk. Used the communal lounge for a night cap :)
The apartment was impeccable, the location on the River Severn breathtakingly beautiful. Close to town, but it felt very remote. Could not have asked for more.
This hotel is a great location for Ironbridge , just a few minutes walk to the bridge, shops cafés, we ate in the bar at the malthouse, food & service was good.
The location is excellent . A good choice of food on the menus. Warm welcome from all the staff. Room facilities great. Bed so comfortable . Plenty of parking.
The full English breakfast was fantastic all with orange juice and Cereal too. A lovely location with only a 5min walk to the bridge and town. Good job Tom!
