The hosts were good. The bed was big and comfortable.
Quite noisy with people leaving early morning and no lift meant crashing suitcases downstairs.
Did nt try any food.

Exceptionally clean, comfy bed, huge quiet room. Modern taps in the shower caused momentary consternation, as my tiredness from my 2am arrival caused my brain not to work. It is now the top of my airport terminal stay list. Breakfast is a lovely surprize with everything hot and ready on the buffet.

There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.

Horley is a fairly safe town to spend the night before/after a flight. It has nice food shops & cafes. Near to Gatwick but not noisy. Quiet, pleasant. A bus ride to Crawley, an easy train to London. Not overpriced.
Best place is the 8 Bells (or is it 6 Bells?!) down a residential road just off the main road & by the parish church - lovely! - its a delightful oldy-worldy country gastro pub on the doorstep, which is well-known for great food & atmosphere.
People usually find Horley pleasant... you can safely walk around & there is a Lidl & Waitrose within walking distance (in the centre)... The local Wetherspoons does a good cheap breakfast. (Later, the fish & chips/burger are ok, so ok for cheap filling food. Be warned, though, the manager could do with some improvement!)
Horley is great for overnight stays, before moving on!

This is a stupid question, I stayed at the airport, not in Horley town and I only stayed there because I had an early flight. I was not there as a tourist and I doubt anyone would be, as it is an airport town!
The room was very spacious and it was quite easy to get to on public transport. It's about 7 minutes from Horley Station.. There is a Waitrose and restaurants near bye. I was traveling out of Gatwick early in the morning but could have got there very easily on Public Transport as their was a bus stop to Gatwick that runs through the night directly opposite as well as the train. I enjoyed it more than the usual airport hotels as it was different.
Great location with a 10min walk from the terminal at Gatwick South.
The hotel had a lovely and inviting atmosphere, especially the lounge, bar and restaurant area.
Rooms were extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a very comfortable bed.
Staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help with any questions or enquiries.
Would definitely recommend.
It was very convenient being at the airport, as we were only there for 2 nights a d leaving from Gatwick again on the 3rd day.
Staff were super friendly. We were worried about airport noise but the room was extremely quiet. Well done!
Breakfast was good. Typical hotel breakfast but we were grateful for all that it was.
Again great stay.
We needed a convenient, comfortable hotel for our early morning flight out of Gatwick. The Hilton was perfect. It's connected to the south terminal with a covered walkway and a 5-10 minute walk, so even if it's raining, there's no problem getting to the airport at any time of day or night and the room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel is convenient for Gatwick airport (is is possible to walk if you know about the Sussex Border Path which will get you between the Gatwick Travelodge and the North Terminal). The Black Horse Pub is nearby which does above average pub meals. The ensuite was large albeit with a too-small shower module.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Front desk staff professional, friendly and helpful. So convenient to catch your plane at terminal one it was amazing. Hotel room was spotless. Eighth floor lounge area was wonderful with amazing staff. First time to Britain and we were so pleased with Sofitel London Gatwick.
excellent service, friendly people at the desk and in restaurant. 24 hours a day. clean room, good bed, good food for reasonable price so close to gatwick airport. excellent shuttle service too every 20 minutes. Certainly recommend and will return next time I need a hotel near Gatwick.
The hotel is conveniently located, just a few minutes of walk once you clear customs at the Gatwick airport. It has everything a passenger of a late night arrival flight would need: bottle water, clean towels and a comfy bed. Had a pretty nice sleep there.
Excellent hotel, large rooms, tea, delicious breakfast, very beautiful breakfast room, friendly helpful staff. Very beautiful place, near Gatwick. Everything is great! They accept cash. Thank you so much🙂
Very pleased that I found Corner House Hotel. Ideal location for catching flights to and from Gatwick. Very comfortable room and bar and restaurant for an evening meal. Portion size very generous.
Close to Gatwick, cozy hotel. Kevin picked us up at Gatwick and was delightful. He was very helpful and funny, nice way to begin our trip. Our rooms were very nice, modern and clean.
The location was good. Easy access to Gatwick airport and an early flight. That was the reason I chose this hotel. It was also cheap compared to other hotels in the area.
The hotel is 7 minutes walk from the train station and short ride to Gatwick airport. The room was clean and with a nice bathroom. The common areas were clean too.
