My husband and I stayed midweek early season for one night as we were walking through on our honeymoon. We appreciated the manager Sue switching us from a room with a window over the street to a room with a water view, even though another staff member was saying that we would need to pay extra for that upgrade. We thought our new room was very comfortable, the location was good and the breakfast was enjoyable.
Set in beautifully landscaped gardens, right by the water's edge, the award-winning Harbor Hotel Fowey has a scenic and peaceful location.

Boutique hotel with a very small number of rooms in a historic building was out of sight; room was spacious and bedding including extraordinarily soft high thread count cotton sheets; bartender was friendly; receptionist was hugely helpful acting as concierge to answer all of my local questions; deck view of estuary mouth and English channel was awesome; complimentary smooth as water gin stored in a crystal decanter and tonic water was a fantastic surprise

Fowey is a lovely, typical fishing village however it has the usual plethora of second homes, airbnb and rental properties. It’s not too commercial though. Lots of narrow streets and old buildings.
We visited in March and it was lovely, I suspect that in the high season it will get very crowded. A nightmare to drive through!

Classic Cornish small coastal town nestled on the steep western bank of a creek. Full of character and plenty of real local people as well as tourists. Be prepared for a steep heart stopping climb to the central car par if you miss the Town (mini) Bus which appears every 15 minutes.Highly recommend Bufala Italian restaurant/.pizzeria - don't be put off by drab road facing entrance/waiting area. Pintxo tapas bar looked interesting but could not get a seat.

A very idyllic town, by the river Fowey, especially when the sun is out and sparkling on its surface.
Excellent opportunities to walk along the coast, or to jump on to ferries and visit other towns. Some lovely beaches and coves nearby (Readymoney Cove is lovely and at walking distance from the centre) making it possible to dip into the river. Many links to Daphne du Maurier around the area - although Manderley is private (and under a different name) it’s easy to be enraptured by the atmosphere.
Buses are just a couple and not very regular, but it’s still possible to visit the area even if you don’t own a car.
I truly recommend.

A delightful place to visit.
A delightful place to visit. Wonderful swimming at Readymoney Bay.
Good long Beach for strolling at Par Bay a short drive out of Fowey.
The town of Fowey is charming, set on the River. However the steep walk from and up to the upper part of town is a kittle challenging.
Fowey offers a good selection of restaurants and shops.

Lovely location especially Readymoney beach and the shops & pubs.
Little bit challenging getting to accommodation by car, to drop our bags off, as it’s a single road one way system. So if you miss it you either have to go round again or park up and walk back.

A really compact village/town with everything centrally placed, plenty of choice of drinking or eating places.
Only downside is the carparking on the fringe of the town, you would need to catch the town taxi/bus if you have any mobility problems.
Visit Llanhydrock Place the best National Trust property I've ever entered.
Very clean, well appointed apartment. Great location on the edge of Fowey which meant you could easily walk into town and back (or get the local bus back). Also meant you could join the Southwest Coast Path just a short walk away, and also walk the 'Hall Walk' - all without using your car. Apartment is larger than it looks in the photographs with a fabulous view of fields, and sheep. Very quiet location. Two bathrooms. Easy roads to reach the surrounding areas, with lots of lovely beaches nearby.
Location is perfect for a stroll around fowey and the local walks. Although Fowey is extremely steep and one to be aware of if you struggle, once you’re at cottage you are within close walking distance to all the shops and pubs/restaurants and harbour. The cottage is equipped for dining inside or out with a little courtyard and picnic table. Had everything you need all amenities covered including washing machine iron and ironing board, spoilt with 2 bathrooms. Would happily stay here every year!

Fantastic breakfast with brilliant staff and fabulous views of the estuary. The pub menu was very good and great value. The galleon is right in the centre of the action next to the small ferry and next door to the square with other pubs and restaurants. Fowey is very busy with lots of shopping and pubs/restaurants and you can seek peace close by with great walks and boat trips.
The location was very pleasant and very close to the estuary, coffee shops which we used daily and other amenities. Short walk to the town, harbour and beach.
The local car park was £6.50 for 24hours, exceptional value.
Bed comfortable
The locals including the shop and bar staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and gave amazing service.
Will be visiting Fowey again.
Henry and Alison the hosts are lovely people and willing to help with any problem. The property is in tip top condition and equipped with anything and everything you might need on your stay. In an amazing location with superb views of the harbour.Worht every penny will come again when we get the chancel.
Staff were lovely, very polite & attentive.
Room was beautiful however quite warm. The hotel were able to provide a fan. Room was spotless and the bed was very comfy.
Breakfast was excellent. Could not fault it.
We ate at the hotel 2 nights out of 5. We also found great restaurants in Fowey.
the views from the Hotel across to Fowey are stunning. The staff were very welcoming and their service levels were excellent. The cleanliness of the room and accommodation was very good. The food was well presented but I would have preferred to have seen more options in the evening.
Centrally located hotel in Fowey and with a car park (a parking space in Fowey is like gold dust!). Our room was small but perfectly formed, comfortable, clean with a good shower. Nice touches such as good variety of teas and ground coffee. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.
Bob and Joe are brilliant.. Great hosts.. helpful, informative and gave great tips about the area.. especially the pub locations, local walks etc😉👍.
The breakfast is spot-on and locally sourced produce definatly pays off
We had the most amazing holiday here in Fowey.
The Hotel was in a perfect location. Easy to get to so many lovely villages.
Food amazing! Drinks on the terrace with a stunning view of the estuary was perfect end to the day.
The lodge was very well equiped. The beds were very comfortable. The site was very well kept with a lovely view of Fowey in the distance. The hotel was excellent with a swimming pool, spa and restaurant.
Air conditioning in the room was a god send. Not many hotels in the UK have this facility.
Location was superb. In the centre with an amazing view of the river Fowey. The staff were very friendly.
Great location in Fowey which is a fun place to stay with lots of lovely shops. Very friendly and fun staff, good selection of beers and breakfast included. Comfortable bed and clean room!
The bedroom was amazing! We had a king size room harbour view!
Breakfast was delicious!
Staff was really kind!
Will come back there again!
Fowey is a great little place!
