Love the hotel, the facilities and the general vibe
Nestled on the edge of the New Forest National Park, the Avon Causeway Hotel is just 1 mile from Bournemouth Airport. With a bar and a restaurant, it is 10 minutes’ drive from Christchurch.

Christchurch is a lovely place- my sister moved there 2 years ago and we are a large family so need other accommodation when we visit. The Avon ticked all the boxes and it was like home from home. Close to everything and not far from the beach.
It is a beautiful part of Britain and unspoilt which I hadn’t visited before - usually going to Bournemouth.
It is a must for families with Avon beach so clean and unspoiled with all the amenities you need. The New Forest is also so close.

Except that the hotel location was too far to walk into Christchurch the town itself is lovely especially the walks alongside of the river.
Also as with every location along this coast parking fees are an issue and excessive

Christchurch is basically unchanged and has a village feel but also has good shopping and a market on Mondays. The priory and the walks along the river are beautiful. There is also the regent theatre which has a variety of entertainment.

Quaint old town with lovely riverside walk and various interesting old buildings. We had an excellent meal at very reasonable prices at the Lock and Quay restaurant and we liked the Kings Arms hotel for a drink - very friendly staff and lovely, stylish decor.

Only stayed for 1 night, but used to live in the area. Christchurch is a nice town, a little drive from hotel to get there, coffee shops, takeaways and restaurants are all there. Easy drive to Bournemouth. At the hotel there is a little contstant background road noise and plane noise from around 7.00 am, but did not distract from the novel themed hotel and the location.

Very lovely area lots to do around or nearby, great pub the amber wood done nice food lovely beaches, great high street should definitely visit the Bournemouth aviation museum if in the area great value at £7 a ticket was such a good day out
We were upgraded as it was our honeymoon. We had to wait a little bit longer for check in even though we had requested an earlier check in but the upgraded room certainly made up for the delay. The staff were really attentive and we had a lovely time. Thank you for making our honeymoon very special. Breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately some of the choices on the menu the night before had run out but our food was very tasty. Overall an amazing stay and definitely a hotel that we would love to visit again.
This is our go to hotel when visiting the area as you have to looking for faults but as usual nothing. The staff are excellent and friendly as usual and very attentive to your needs. Breakfast is superb, ask for the Shakshuka it has to be one of the best we have tasted and we have tasted a few! If you are in the area. stay here you will not be disappointed!
We loved our stay at The Captains Club on the River Stour in Christchurch. We'd booked to stay for 2 nights for our mini-moon and our Executive Room as upgraded to a suite (more like a luxury 2 bed apartment). The welcome chocolates were delicious too as was the daily breakfast. The spa was small, but we had to ourselves at 8am on Friday morning.
David is a happy and helpful host. The room was clean and comfortable.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay while exploring Dorset, you won't get better for the price. Don't expect all mod cons but there is free WiFi, breakfast with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Only an 8 minute walk to the nearest pub for your evening meal.
Absolutely fabulous location. Beautiful garden. 2 minute walk to the main shops in Christchurch but tucked away in very private courtyard. Loads of walks. Loads of places to eat and drink. Waitrose just down the road. EXCEPTIONALLY clean - not a speck of dust or dirt in sight. Haven’t ever experienced a place like it.
Room lovely, upgraded to 302 ,thank you to Kirk who was simply superb in dealing with our problem re Bluetooth connection. Kirk is a first class ambassador for Christchurch Harbour Hotel. Breakfast was very good except for the coffee which was like dishwater. Please could the food be hot when it arrives not Luke warm. ?
Absolutely everything about this hotel is amazing! The location, decor, ambience, food, staff, spa facilities.... we could not fault it and cannot wait to return! Really felt like we had a mini holiday which is rare in the UK! Looking forward to visting some of the other hotels in this chain's portfolio.
Excellent and friendly host. Accommodation and breakfast were top notch. Location was ideal for us since we were visiting elderly aunt in Mudeford. Great location to walk to Mudeford Quay and path to Christchurch. Would use again.
Lovely studio in Wick, Christchurch, about a half an hour pleasant walk into Christchurch Town or take the Wick ferry which costs a £1 each way, couldn't fault a thing, really good quality, thanks Roz and Kevin
The hotel was very clean and of a high standard, beautiful room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Right in the heart of Christchurch and free parking just across the road from hotel. Would highly recommend.
Room and hotel were very nice, location was great and staff was friendly. Lift was small which may be an issue for some, not for me personally. AC unit was broke, other than that would definitely stay again.
It had what i was looking for in Christchurch, Off road parking, Wi-Fi and kettle in the room. The Room was small as was the En-suite. Staff were helpful and friendly. Mobile phone signal not great but OK.
A great welcome, lovely friendly atmosphere, excellent food and drink at pub prices, not hotel prices.
Very good location, off a minor road but within a few miles of Ringwood, Christchurch & Bournemouth.
Michelle,Ross and Kevin's reserve host. The position in relation to Christchurch, restaurants, the river, and the no 1b bus into Bournemouth which ran every thirty minutes near Tuxton Bridge.
Well planned. Great welcome by staff member. High degree of cleanliness throughout. Gourmet breakfast. A Fullers hotel and ‘Full o Praise’ hope to try another Fullers soon.
Good location for travelling around the area and walkable into Christchurch.
Great Hotel, food excellent and the manager and his staff were all helpful
