The first day of our stay the breakfast was good but second day not really , seems the chef was different . The pool area was good, the bar and the little garden was a nice place to have your coffee in the morning. Staff very helpful and friendly .
Spa use is included from check in to check out for guests enjoying a bed and breakfast, or dinner bed and breakfast package. Spa use is not included at any time when booking a room only rate.

Warm genuine greeting from staff when we arrived after tiresome ferry journey. First room didnt quite suit - very quickly offered an alternative without a hitch. We arrived late but food still available so all good.
In 38 acres of peaceful grounds, just 15 minutes from Chester, this beautifully preserved Edwardian manor has a fantastic restaurant, free Wi-Fi, a log fire and charming individually decorated rooms.
The rooms were very cold. It was minus six overnight and below freezing during the day and our heating went off when we were out of the room. Therefore when we got back it was freezing cold in the room and the heater was not an adequate size to heat the room. We were very dissatisfied.

Communication was terrible ....
Communication was terrible .... I had booked a room there specifically because BOOKING.com said the hotel was pet friendly.
the booking on the website confirmed the hotel was pet friendly.
i was informed on the day that the hotel did not allow pets in the executive suites ( so why was I able to bok it when i was looking for somewhere pet friendly )
the two options when i was looking to book were this place or the local travelodge for £ 48.... i chose to pay the extra to stay somewhere nice.
then ended up having to stay in the travelodge anyway and paying £150 for the privilidg

This is a unique hotel.
This is a unique hotel. It is not part of a large chain so it benefits by being unique but it also suffers from the marketing and maintenance strengths large chain hotels have to offer. We would like such an individual hotel to thrive as it has a special personal feel. It needs further investment and attention to detail on maintenance. We loved the bar, the candles on tables and the music playing. Chandeliers in entrance and mirrors were divine. Huge potential to make into a 5 star boutique hotel!

Character, staff friendliness, attention to quality of food...
Character, staff friendliness, attention to quality of food and location make this a "return to" hotel. Indeed I have. Had a sandwich supper on arrival and a bespoke breakfast. Food very good. Not the most salubrious (decor in need of a bit of attention) but free parking and a quiet ambiance make it attractive. It's not a 5* urban chain hotel (a bit quirky) but I would recommend.

The peace and quiet of the Hotel and surrounding area.
The peace and quiet of the Hotel and surrounding area. We ate at a Vintage Inn about 1.5 miles away. Hotel quite expensive for food. Handy for Chester, Chester Zoo, Cheshire Oaks Birkenhead and Liverpool

Everything about Brook Hall hotel exceeds expectations. The staff are lovely and friendly, the location and gardens are beautiful, the room is well decorated and spacious, the bed was very comfy and you have control of the heating of the room. A cooked breakfast was offered at a reasonable price and free room service provided for it. The hotel is close to loads of things to do and places to see, but far enough off the main roads to be quiet and secluded. I will definitely be staying again.
Room larger than standard, well furnished and decorated, comfortable bed, free wifi, large flat screen TV.
Staff and proprietor very friendly and helpful. Breakfast cooked to order served in a pleasant breakfast room looking out onto the hotel grounds. The food and service at dinner was excellent, just like last time we stayed here.
Virtually everything was excellent! The room was large and well appointed, the bathroom was super; double sink and spar bath. The breakfast was superb and great value(£10)..
The hotel grounds are beautiful and spacious.
Beautiful old house with charm and character. Staff were lovely and there was someone available at the late hour of 11 when I arrived. A little Gem of a hotel.
Everything! This is the best low cost hotel I've stayed at by a country mile, and I stay away *a lot*! The rooms even have spa baths which is wonderful!
