The room was absolutely stunning! Large, comfortable and so absolutely perfect in every way. A large sitting area, tea and coffee and windows on two sides made for a wonderful place to be. It was one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed.

Our welcome from Susan made us feel like we had arrived home. The room was fresh and spacious with a very comfy bed. They have a really beautiful bar downstairs where it would be lovely to relax in after a wet day hiking. You order your breakfast from a wide range the night before and it’s lovely to have everything brought to your table in the morning. There was a feeling of calm competence in this hotel and we would definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Acorn House Callander. The room was spacious and bright and beautifully designed with attention to details - hairdryer, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, sweetener provided (decaff version as well).
The beds and the pillows were very comfortable. The hosts were very nice and accommodating and even invited us to have some carrot cake before we checked out. The bathroom was big, super clean and modern with hot water and clean towels. We felt like home 😊. Totally recommend it.

Nice, very safe, well kept, small town with good shops & restaurants, not far from Stirling. Although Roman Camp Hotel is very secluded, it’s actually on the Main Street, on the banks of the river Teith.

Callander is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, take-aways and walks. The fisheries are beautiful, plenty of benches to sit at and walks around it.
I had a fish supper from the Frying Dutchman which was superb, and the second night ate at The Riverside Inn which was equally as delicious. All very good prices.
The wine shops are lovely and little gifts shops and plenty of cafes.
The apartment is in a beautiful location with a balcony next to the riverside. The neighbour upstairs was kind enough to come down and let us know where to look for the kingfishers on the opposite bank. There's a Coop supermarket a couple of minutes walk away and plenty of other options to eat in the main street. Great walks for dogs and people right out of the door. Callander is a good location for exploring the Trossachs and Loch Lomond area. The apartment was spotless, nicely decorated and warm. We enjoyed our stay!
Example of a small hotel very friendly and helpful staff, had been before for a night out in callander but first time we have stayed.Had dinner in hotel and have to say it was perfect pub grub ,big plates or smaller if you wanted . Have to give a special mention to the staff member Rebecca who served us that night, between waiting tables and serving behind the bar in what was a fairly busy bar for a Monday night she carried it off with a smile, take a bow Rebecca 🙇♀️. Definitely be back.
The location was good, right on the main street, although a little noisy with the window open. The breakfast was lovely and the two staff brilliant. There were lots of sanitising stations throughout the public areas which inspired confidence. Also noticed that the waiting staff were continually sanitising throughout breakfast service. There are a couple of tables outside in the front garden, great for sitting and reading or ordering a drink whilst you catch a few rays.
We had an altogether exceptional experience staying at Abbotsford Lodge. We were there for four nights and wished it could have been more. The room was comfortable, quiet, clean, well-appointed. The meals were faboulous. We had breakfast every morning and dinner two of our four nights. Whenever we had a question or need, the staff was very responsive. We hope to return.
Beautiful hotel just off Callander Main Street. Brilliant location with lovely walks nearby. Room was beautiful, loved the bathroom with spa bath and drench shower. Faultless stay lots of lovely places to sit in the evenings with a drink with lovely real fires. Staff friendly and helpful. highly recommend and we will be back again as one of the best hotels we have stayed in.
The apartment is in a quiet alley right off the center of town. It is an extended attic including a seating area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two showers. It is very convenient and cozy. As a nice added touch, there were also board games, children's books, guidebooks and pamphlets (not advertisements), and the owners recommended bars with live music nearby.
The location is ideal for exploring the nearby Loch Lomond and Trossacks National Park. It is also close to Callander, where there is a selection of pubs and restaurants and all the other emenities you might need.
The only slight negative is the proximity to a fairly busy road, although this did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay
Breakfast was first class, wide choice of 'continental' plus the best cooked 'scottish' of the several hotels in our road trip around Scotland.
The property is a large traditional country house with stunning garden, on the edge of town.
Lovely hosts who made our stay very enjoyable. As soon as we arrived, Deon made dinner reservations for us as it was about that time. Excellent breakfast as well. Convenient to Stirling Castle (if you have a car) and local hikes.
We stayed at the Poppies Hotel over our wedding weekend. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we had a brilliant stay. The rooms were great and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
Great location in lovely Callander. Hotel and room were clean, beds comfy and nice view of Main Street from window. Manager was friendly in arrival( reception closed between 10 and 3pm). Very quiet hotel, got a good sleep.
Centrally located in Callander, this place is absolutely a charming guesthouse. Plaid carpet, highland coo decor, amazing breakfast and attentive hosts make this accommodation among the best I’ve ever stayed.
Just enjoyed a fabulous stay at The Waverley Hotel. Rooms were lovely and comfortable, food was delicious and customer service was exceptional. A perfect stay. Thank you so much, we can't wait to visit again.
