Lovely lakeside walks and good access to pleasant places like Lausanne (by ferry - worth the ride as beautiful views) and Yvoire. Shopping (including supermarkets) a bit limited in Evian itself and not a great range of affordable restaurants. But good access to hypermarkets etc. by car. Skiing nearby at Thollon - with some of the most amazing views over Lake Geneva from the pistes.

We were here for just a day, so I cannot make thorough analysis of the place.
Great walk alongside the lake. Small city center with few good restaurants. (You have to reserve for the good ones at least few days in advance) I recommend to visit the Cachat spring and the spring building (it's currently under restoration to make it even more beautiful)

I liked that the little town centre was safe to move around even in the wee hours of the morning where i had to walk 20 minutes back to my hotel after leaving the casino.
Had a good time walking and looking around the little quaint shops in Evian town centre and the water source of Evian is walking distance from the town centre and Hotel Royal Evian.
Loved the Chinese Restaurant called Chinatown Chinese Restaurant, food was great! If you are looking for a good spread of Western food head down to Le Pub which is located just next to the Casino itself.
Taking the boat across to Lausanne, Switzerland was a breeze which cost 21 euros?

Shops, restaurant, good sized supermarket, quiet, relaxing, good ferry service to other places around Lake Leman including Lausanne. (Remember to take your passport or ID, we weren’t asked for it but we were told we had to take it with us on the boat trip, there were no notices anywhere saying this. Great funicular railway which is free.

Walking along the lake. The Palais de lumière. The spring. The shops & restaurants. It's a very easy place to get around in; there is basically a very long main shopping street high up in the town & running parallel to the lake.

Everything about this hotel was superb.
The location of the hotel and free parking opposite.
The restaurant food and service was excellent.
Room was spotless, fresh, cleaned every day, toiletries provided.
The staff and owner went out of their way to make sure that you had everything you needed.
Close to the lake and superior room had lake side views.
Plenty to see and visit, lovely walks into the centre of Evian Les Baines.
Would definitely recommend a visit to this delightful hotel.
The room was nice and clean with a small balcony to enjoy. L'Oasis is located on a hill and has a big terrace with a fantastic view on Lake Geneva where we enjoyed delicious breakfast with a variety of sweet and savoury treats. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. The pool is big enough to take a swim and very nicely located in the quiet garden of the hotel. Several very good restaurants and the city centre are within walking distance. All in all it was a very delightful stay.
Very attentive and kind staff group, supportive with my requirements.
Breathtaking views and outlook from our room.
Beautiful room, I upgraded to a Castle Room on the first floor as the deluxe room we were originally booked into (as a joint room with my family) was not big enough for my requirements. Although my Deluxe room on the second floor was beautifully appointed. My daughter's deluxe room however, was much bigger.
Excellent cuisine and wine choices.
Beautiful hotel.
Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. Staff were very helpful and friendly and you really felt welcome. Nice bar area and lounge with chess board, scrabble, etc.
I had no idea about the navette, this was nowhere on the website or in the instructions. You are able to phone ahead and book the black minibus so that it takes you from the boat station or train station to the hotel (and back) for free.
Was doing a tour round the Lake with a night in Lausanne followed by a night in Evian so we picked this hotel due to how close it was to the ferry location (just across the road). It was a great choice as the hotel is perfect in many ways - location, cost, cleanliness and staff. All of these things were first class.
"old fashioned" in the positive meaning: the hotel has the feeling of a (small) Grand Hotel of 100 years ago with all the essential contempory essential requirements (elevator, modern bathroom, Wifi)
Very helpful staff
Great breakfast in a very nice place
Great views. Excellent wellness area (and therapists) with an outdoor heated pool, hammam and sauna. I had a comfortable room with a beautiful front view on lake leman. Clean, easy access to parking area from the hotel.
Location is great just in the center of town, Staff were helpful in whatever we asked for.
The hotel offered us free parking even though in the site it says price is 1Euro for an hour in an external partking lot.
Very cute and comfortable boutique hotel, makes you feel like home. Everything is clean and the room is exactly as expected from the pictures. Checking in was very quick and easy, will definitely come back again!
We liked everything about this hotel, there was everything in the room you needed and more. Lovely gardens, friendly staff, great restaurant and food and great views across the lake. Decor was great.
We’ve booked La Verniaz hotel, but it was some issue with it and we very placed at the Ermitage hotel.
Exceptional service! The attitude to the guests as for VIP persons. Was very pleasant.
Great location in a quiet pedestrian street, easy walking distance from the train station. Near restaurants and all places to visit and the lake. Very kind staff.
