Friendly staff lent us their own kitchen utensils to help us make a dinner (restaurant was closed). The nearby beach is very pleasant and had an open food stall very late in the evening.

It’s a garten paradise within a neighborhood of tightly packed houses & streets. The house smells sooo good! (The wood floor oil?) The interior design is high end, yet cozy. The dinner was creative and well-presented. And the breakfast was a great start!!
Hôtel des Sables Blancs is located just 328 feet from the beach and an 8-minute drive from Douarnenez town center. It features a restaurant on site, serving seafood and fish specialties.

Front desk was cheerful , friendly, if not terribly knowledgeable.
Appartement Design III - Port du Rosmeur - Douarnenez is located in Douarnenez, just a 5-minute walk from Plage de Pors Cad and 1.2 miles from Plage du Ris.
Quiet little town with a port. Easy to find nice places to eat.
Not too touristic during winter. Nice spa thalasso around. Not for anyone who seeks out party places.
There is also a reasonably priced Moroccan eatery Le Sable d’Or that serves authentic cous cous and home made baklava!
There is also a great seafood restaurant, Le Restaurant La Regate, at Hotel Les Sable Blancs.

We went in winter and the weather was awful but still alot to see, and if you love wild weather and walks along the coast its amazing. The town itself is lovely, some good restuarants and great small shops.

Once a very rich city (merci la Sardine!), Douarnenez is struggling to stay on the map of tourists' destinations. The ports are great places to visit, and the welcoming attitude of the people is a great asset. I am an old man who knew the region more than 60 years ago, we are not a young couple and the month of November is not the best period to visit: nevertheless I found the atmosphere even better than in my young age.

Lovely town with busy ports (plural) and well located for exploring in all directions: west towards Pointe du Raz and (even better) Pointe du Van, north to the Crozon peninsular and south to Pays Bigouden.
Lots of good creperies, and fine restaurants around the port in Treboul.

There are quiet little beaches just out of town as well as the coastal path which offers a range of views across the bay. The boat museum was well worth a visit also a walk up into the town centre to the market and local shops. Staff in all the restaurants were friendly and helpful, even letting us try out our school French!
We had the most amazing stay. The hosts were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. My husband and I were visiting (bike touring) and we were assisted with maps, cycle routes, restaurants, coastal paths to walk, etc. The breakfasts were delicious with a variety of foods, including a stunning view of the sea. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. We would not hesitate to return as it’s a beautiful town with lovely people.
We spent an amazing weekend in Douarnenez. The hotel was quiet and clean. There are a lot of facilities (sauna, hammam). We had a room with a sea view and with a jacuzzi outside (you can go in it even when it rains because it is sheltered). There is a nice bar just in front of the hotel where you can have a drink. The entire personnel was great, always with smiles on their faces which is really enjoyable!
Very kind owner and very warm reception.
Introduction of visit areas was perfect, and couldn't visit all.
Very near to clean beach where we could see beautiful sunset.
Breakfast with hand made cakes and jams.
Could stay in the balcony under sunshine.
Restaurants recommend were very nice with reasonable price.
Near historical area of the village(need to move by car).
Olivier is an exceptional host and his appartment is a real gem by the sea. The bed and shower were excellent and the kitchen was very well eqquiped - including several sorts of tea which we thoroughly degustated. The view over the Douarnenez bay beautifuly crowned our experience. We highly recommend this appartment and will be coming back in the future for sure.
Everything about Ty Mad is spectacular. Staff bends over backwards to accommodate, super-friendly and helpful. Decor throughout the hotel is tastefully artistic, restaurant is five-star. Cuisine inventive, flavorful, makes the most of every single ingredient and delivers delightful and impressive tastes we've never experienced. We'd be so glad to come back!!
Nice and very priceworthy hotel with friendly and welcoming host. Very nice breakfast place with view over the garden where hens were strolling around. Same hens that produce the eggs for breakfast. The breakfast was excellent with several specially prepared alternatives for our vegan daughter.
We had a quiet bedroom with ample space and a huge walk-in closet, a small bathroom and a spacious living room! The breakfast offered all one could desire. Beach just across the (busy) street. Just 10 minutes from Douarnenez harbour and restaurants.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and the beach was great. It was lovely to have a balcony with a view of the sea. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable and the staff friendly. I would definitively stay again.
Apartment was spacious and very well-appointed, clean and fresh. View over the sea to Douarnenez and to the adjacent headland was tremendous. Natalie was a very friendly and helpful host. Great stay overall.
Location is what made us to book this place. There is free parking available on the street while hotel is charging for their own parking. We parked on the street.
The Hotel was very reasonably priced and close to all amenities. The hotel and room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was amazing and lots of variety.
