A warm welcome, a good room, excellent breakfast and a lovely pool area in a friendly hotel within a few minutes walk of several good restaurants. Juan and Antonia did everything to make our stay really memorable.
The town of Sineu is centrally located and great as a base for cyclists or in a car.

Pool was lovely, the bedroom downstairs was not habitable as their was a very stale / damp smell, same in the dinning room that we didn’t use. To be clear, this was no fault of the cleaners.

The town of Sineu is small but absolutely stunning, the architecture and narrow streets were extremely picturesque. For such a small town, there was a good selection of traditional Mallorcan restaurants to choose from, all serving excellent food at very reasonable prices. When we stayed, the town was getting ready for their annual fiesta, but the rest of the time it was really quiet and chilled. The market held every Wednesday was excellent and made the town come to life. The only downside is the location. Being in the centre of the island, getting home from an evening somewhere on the coast can be tricky. Therefore we had to ensure we were back before the last train which ran until 10:20pm from Palma. Overall, the town feels like a real undiscovered gem which in a few years’ time will likely be a tourist hotspot in peak season. Definitely worth a visit (or a stay).

The oldest town and former capital of Mallorca, Sineu is situated in the middle of the island which provided us with the opportunity to easily explore by car the entire island. Explore the old town of Sineu and enjoy its Wednesday Market.

A nice town overall with a lovely old town and Placa.
A nice town overall with a lovely old town and Placa. Good vibe provided by local residents rather than tourists with plenty of decent bars and restaurants. Great location on the island. Easy to access pretty much everywhere. Even has rail access to Palma.

The reason we stayed in Sineu is because it was close to the venue of a wedding we were going to. It is charming and very quiet. There is a nice piazza with a few bars and cafes. However I probably wouldn’t return to Sineu as I prefer a more lively atmosphere. Villa Sa Barcella made the trip to Sineu and I would definitely recommend anyone travelling to Sineu to stay at Sa Barcella
To start with, I would say the attention for details is absolutely amazing, as everything is in the right place and where you would expect to be. To continue, I would like to affirm that I found one of the most positive staff I have ever met in a hotel. They are very attentive and ready to be helpful, no matter what the demand is. In other words, if you need something you couldn’t find in the room or around, you just have to ask for and they fulfill the requirement.
This is, definitely, one of my favourite places I have ever stayed in!
We had an amazing stay at Es Picarol.
The hotel is very authentic and beautiful and has such a charm.
The owners Carl, Jòse and their dog Samba run the hotel, and they are so wonderful and caring, they go out of their way to make you feel special.
They make you feel home in every way and we really had the best joyful moments at Es Picarol.
Carl and Jose does makes the most stunning breakfast and coffee each morning with passion and love. Seriously it’s the best breakfast you will ever taste.
We will definitely come back one day.
Cozy and well decorated house, isolated from other houses. Ideal if you want to have a quiet holiday without neighbours. Although located isolated, grocery shops can be reached in 5-10 minutes in the village of Sineu. The house is also centrally located in Mallorca. Ideal to explore the island. The owner, Esther, is very friendly and is always available to assist. When we arrived there were some local products available as a welcome gift. Although it was november, we still were able to take a dive in the swimming pool.
Breakfast was amazing selection and very quick service. The Iberian ham was my favourite option. They offer fresh bread and daily pastries as well and a La carte breakfast options.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Very attentive and always there when you needed.
The location is beautiful - very quaint town with great restaurants and local bars.
The hotel itself is a beautiful converted home with many of the original details. Pool is great to cool off and they also have a billiards table!
what’s not to like? room was big and lovely. Guillermo was an amazing host and the breakfast was the best food we had in Spain! I highly, highly recommend that anyone new to Spain stay here especially if you have children. Plus Sineu is in the centre of Mallorca and so easy to drive in all directions from there which is what we did. we rented a car and each day with Guillermo’s expert advice, he would plot sites to visit on a map and off we went. amazing experience.
I loved the location of the hotel in the middle of the old town. The building had lots of character.
The room was simple, yet clean and comfortable with a very useful fridge!
I enjoyed having breakfast at the local bar next door, but did not try the restaurant for an evening meal as was only staying a few nights. Sineu train station is in walking distance, which connects with Palma - so there is no need to hire a car to stay here.
I hate to stay in hotels like this one since they are raising the quality standards for other hotels. Most probably we will not be able to find another accommodation to such standards for the last days of our trip.
The hotel is amazing, sparkling clean and very cozy. The owners are really customer oriented and they try to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Very quiet place with perfect beds and huge bathroom.
Thank you again!
Es Picarol in Sineu is a real gem. A small hotel in an old building, recently restored. Lot's of charm, with a beautiful garden at the back where a delicious breakfast is served. The rooms are very spacious, super clean, quiet, with very comfortable beds, and a great shower. The hosts Carl and Jose are wonderful and went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I felt at home and will definitely return here.
The hosts were amazingly kind and very helpful with tips around the island.
Breakfast is absurd, in a good way! Variety in food, very fresh, homemade-like :) we were always full until lunchtime!
Facilities are very cozy and rustic, we loved it.
If you have a rental car, the location is perfect as it's easy to go anywhere from the hotel.
PS. They have such cute cats always around asking for food, impossible to resist.
Lovely finca set in a big garden surrounded by an olive grove in central Mallorca near the market town of Sineu.
4 good sized bedrooms one of which was en-suite, a very large living-dining area with tall ceilings plus a kitchen, additional bathroom and an outhouse.
We loved the terraces, sun beds and pool, although wished the pool was heated as the water was very cold, swimming in it is not for the faint hearted!
The breakfast was amazing, rooms were cleaned very well every day and all the tips we got about the island and dinner were spot on, exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of free parking spaces around the accommodation. Location of the accommodation very central with regards of Mallorca. The little town Sineu also very nice and lively, especially during the evening.
I had a nice stay, quite one level up from the street. The hotel is situated in a nice plaza close to an old church, beautiful!
The breakfast was in an restaurant next door, good quality juice, bread and coffee, just perfect.
The owners are very friendly and helpful to answer questions, I good leave my luggage by checking out and pick it up later.
Such a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful. A modern and chic gem in the middle of quaint and historic Sineu. The staff was amazing - friendly, helpful and so kind. Food was an unexpected treat - top quality, so delicious and some of the best food we had while in Mallorca. 10/10 would recommend!
The facilities, pool, location, owner, everything! Perfect for a group or family, loved this place and perfectly located (if you have a car). Not a touristy area but close to beautiful Sineu and only about 20-30mins to lots of beaches and other sights.
Carl and José were fantastic hosts, giving us the best recommendations of the area (and the best breakfasts!). The hotel is a lovingly restored gem, completed with artistic flair and true care. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!
This hotel WAY exceeded our expectations. I generally never leave reviews but I cannot recommend it highly enough. We were looking for something that was affordable in Majorca but still boutique/luxury and this hotel was perfect.
We felt very welcome the whole time we stayed and appreciated their hospitality. The room was clean and well maintained.
Also, great breakfast and a cozy and historic vibe from the building itself and the town of Sineu.
